No more increased customisation in shadowlands. [Requesting a refund]

ofc not. thats like buying a ticket to disneyland spending all day there and as you are finally ready to leave asking for a refund

Different people have different priorities and interests. One group of people will say Mythic+ should be addressed first, others will say PvP, more will say fix the loot, the bugs, the customization, etc. etc.

Personally I care way more about character customization than PvP. People can argue that PvP is more important to fix than adding more facial expressions, hair styles, colors, tattoos, etc. but it’s still just their bias influencing their priorities.

Blizzard has the manpower to both fix bugs and imbalances while still designing new character customization options. In fact, it’s two entirely different departments working in tandem: Production and Design.

tl;dr - People shouldn’t mock others for quitting the game for legitimate reasons simply because they see those “reasons” as being not as important as “their” thing.

OH I knew when they first posted that wasn’t happening.

Yeah but maybe they have the art department working on new zones and not adding a mustache that 50 players care about.

Hyperbole and made up statistics aren’t going to win anyone over to your way of thinking lmao

I think this is a sort of general blanket statement on a larger problem in this thread, because I genuinely have no issue with people leaving the game because of something being scrapped when they were told they would get more.

What’s important to you is not the point of contention for me, but the idea of going out of your way to get a refund because something was scrapped and alleging that Blizzard somehow deceived you.

Additional customization was more than likely a surefire thing at some point, however, we don’t really know what goes on behind the scenes at Blizzard, but I imagine something happened that caused them to halt it. I can’t imagine they would just blatantly lie about that.

Be upset. Speak with your wallet and speak your mind, but don’t be so grossly entitled that you feel like you deserve a refund for a game that you still got your money’s worth out of. You bought the game because of what the game is, not because of what it’s going to be, and if you did buy it for the latter, then that’s your fault for not waiting.

Sure. I wasn’t speaking about refunds. And if I went more depth, I would have a small dissertation on my hands.

WoW in 2021 still has worse character customization than City of Heroes did in 2004. It’s actually pathetic.

Okay, so why have you stuck with a game where the customization is still stuck in 2004 if it’s that important to you? I mean, there are certainly MMOs that are leagues better in that department. Black Desert Online is one that comes to mind. Is it important or is it not?

Seems to be more like 50% to me. Never seen such a rapid and significant “lull” as the apologists are calling it.

Rest in pieces warcraft. Burry you next to starcraft and heroes of the storm.

We were deceived. Even Ian Bates says so. If he thinks we were. We were.

Believe it or not buddy, you can actually dislike some aspects of a game while enjoying others of said game. It’s not “All or Nothing.”

Jesus…

Yeah, future patches where they were going to add more customization options.

I think what they told us we were going to get should be their priority, your point of view is skewed.

You’ve never, ever worked the other side of the counter, have you?

Yeah if you read a GD forum full of crybabies who are looking for reasons to hate Blizzard it might seem significant, but its like a small fraction of people here, and here represents <1% of the playerbase lol

In BFA they said the same thing with allied races and they delivered!

And when they did a happy few came to the forum demanding they be better…

They fix the races that have been around for eons first because let’s be real that makes sense. Yet the races that just came out trigger a very vain portion of the player base so bad we have endless garbo threads like this. Personally I want my old NE face back, not fond of the stuff so many said was better. See how that works?

You are now comparing allied races with character customizations, apples and shoes and thinking well this makes sense, it doesn’t.

What a disappointment. What a pathetic show from the execs who no doubt decided this.

This makes it look like they only did it for PR. I still want Brown Night elves and Skinny Kul Tirans.
