I mean Steam has a cut off of 2 hours for a refund.
Even though FF and ESO aren’t good games, their customization is great and makes wow’s look awful.

Blizzard has always promised things that get cut or never make it to live in the way they promised.
Once upon a time the game itself was good enough that while such things were disappointing they were never deal breakers.
Now however, the game is more and more being obviously designed just to milk time and money. So the things like this? They hit a lot harder.
I used to absolutely love WoW, I met my wife playing this game. But the past couple of expacks have been full of decisions that are questionable at best.
Wow will soon have a free to play warzone model. Google it. At that point me, nor my wife, will play at all. We will not play a pay to win game, not even wow.

There is no: customization or content.
Those are made by different teams.
Yes Blizzard lied. They misslead their players. There is really no defense.
If they really feel like they need to cut cost’s and need another team, then let the artists and modlers from the company that made WC3 Reforged make more customization. The game is terrible broken, yes. The models are fine though. There you have a corporate solution.

Both FFXIV and ESO are good games.
FFXIV in particular caters to every kind of player, even ones that don’t really do raids or endgame PvE content (unlike WoW really), and the team is very transparent and good at communicating,

It’s where my friends and I have gone. It’s not perfect. The long GCD is one of the worst parts but it’s RP community and community in general is 50x better. Nicer, less toxic, helpful. Armor has actual 3d models. And while not as many customisation as games coming out in the 2020s still way better than wow. They also radically balance pve and pvp differently.
And yeah I don’t know if there was anything they said was going to happen that didn’t. They are transparent and communicate even with their western audiance despite being an eastern game.
ESO has a kidna greedy cashshop catering to whales but they use the money from that to make awesome content for everyone so it’s tolerable.

Ian Bates (Red Shirt Guy) is the HIGHEST authority on blizzard. He literally knows more about blizzard than anyone currently working there. He knows more about the lore. More about things they have or haven’t said and how they said them. Only one authority higher than Red Shirt Guy and that’s only if you’re religious.
If people want to make the “money” argument.
How about not hiring Metallica, instead hire more artists and don’t fire so much people.

Bro who even likes Metallica. The only thing I’ve muted faster than them was when Bethesda got Andrew WK to play for their Rage 2 show.
I have nothing against their music.
It simply seems a bit weird to me spening over one million on them for one performance.
It’s not like this money could have ben used to make the game better.
Ironic enough Twitch also silenced Metallica on Blizzcon lol.

It happens sometimes when you open multiple streams, maybe that’s it. But it sure streamed here.
About halfway through the performance, twitch dubbed over the audio feed with music that was free-use and didn’t need to be licensed. This is a fact - hell Stephen Colbert even made a joke about it, that’s how high profile it was.
If you didn’t notice, that says one of two things:
- You really don’t know their music as well as you think you did since you didn’t even notice the song change.
- You weren’t actually listening.

Not gonna lie, a big chunk of my hype for Shadowlands was tied up in not just the new customizations that came with the release of the expac but the promise of more to come. HUGE disappointment that we’re not getting anything else.

It was exactly the same for me. Now that we know there won’t be anything new in 2 years all of my hype is gone.

Uh… coming in late would’ve meant that ALL you heard was the dubbed track. You would’ve had to only watch the first few minutes and left early to have heard any of the actual music.
But sure, if that’s what you’re saying you did, then ya, you wouldn’t have heard any of the silly track dubbed over the band.
