Not really? We are just other members of the community that were recognized as knowledgeable, friendly, active, and had acceptable taste in transmog for the most part. (Funny thing is that I bet yall will think that last bits a joke.)

I mean, everyone has different perspectives when it comes to “stuff that needs to be worked on” though I do feel we need more forum presence instead of Twitter, Reddit, ect. On the other hand, a good portion of forum goers can not control themselves, GD is a frightening place to come to as a dev.

Well, and here is the thing, this restructuring is not on the developer side of things more so than it is on the community interaction side of things with CMs, Event Organizers, ect. Trust me when I say I am legit not trying to paint this situation in a positive light but perhaps part of it comes from a very poorly misguided attempt to break down and rebuild community interaction. Not saying that’s what it is or that it is a good choice but its pretty well known that communication is pretty bad.

It certainly does not feel great, thats for sure. What “fixes” are you waiting on?

Okay, some people get out of hand and cannot have a discussion. Have you ever seen a post asking the community what they would like to see or host a vote on it. Maybe the developers have lost touch with things at times. I know my company is currently going through a re structure I hate. The difference is I have painted a target on my back by asking why, presenting current data and the suggestion of different thinking or resolves. The community never gets to be any part of this and they didn’t listen to any alpha / beta feedback and pushed the product anyways. Sure all the classes can level but there should not be a 30% difference in dps between another class if you being the same utility. I’m just ranting to rant. Communication is key and they are not doing any of that.

Mods are still around. Judging by their recent lack of comprehension regarding posts and threads, I would honestly assume it’s been outsourced.

I don’t know what’s worse, Byuck: being a dev and even looking at the forums, which could catch fire at any moment despite not being corporeal, or a player who puts their heart and soul into a post (a quit post, feedback during beta, a new idea they desperately want to see considered) and getting… nothing.

Now, don’t take it the wrong way. I know they can’t even hint at something as a possibility or it will be written in stone in the minds of GD as the biggest case of takesbacksies if it doesn’t happen, and I get that the forums in General are not heartwarming most of the time… but some players have just as much passion as the devs and writers and all of those employees.

I am also aware of the manpower it would take at times to give everyone that level of attention and how impossible it would be. I’m just saying… It’s so quiet.

It seems like in WoW they just use automod now for the forums. Now it’s up to the masses to ban whatever/whoever they want.
