They can always choose not to answer a question in the moment (defer it to a later date, or answer it on a blog post) but not even bothering to take the question in the first place is bad optics.
No less at their own convention, and the first live one since 2019.
All answers involve Bobby and another large boat.
Bobby’s leaving at the beginning of next year. Now it’s Phil’s boat collection.
This is also bad optics in the eyes of this player base.
it’s a marketing event and the purpose of a Q&A would be to help them market their products, not so bitter people can score nerd points with “gotcha” questions

If it never gets answered, like most of the questions players ask on these question threads, sure.
If they actually answered hard questions in a follow-up instead of never letting the players even ask them, I don’t think the criticism would be as harsh.

“If Blood Elves are perfect, why do you keep adding customizations? Aren’t you suggesting they’re not perfect and need changes!?!?”
Gottem.

For some people, the cost of entry is a small price to pay to become known as “that guy.”

Two months is plenty of time for a small sized mega yacht.
that’s not a hard question; it’s a question that has no right answer.
if they say “yes” the response will be “of course! greedy corporation! bobby needs a yacht!! ion is a lawyer!!”
if they say “no” the response will be “see? i told you they’re liars! they’re lying!!”

Top late though, the question was already asked live on air, so they still have to either address it or deal with the fallout from ignoring it.
Drama much. It’s not nearly that big of deal as you hope to make it.
They always softball the answers I don’t know how people are making up that live verse “non” live answering of the questions is literally any different to what they always did.
I’ll give one complaint credit for not having live … you got to see the actual devs and speak to them in person for the little amount of time your question and answer takes.
But it’s not gonna change HOW they answer questions the stuff they don’t want to answer will get a written softball answer as opposed to a spoken one.
Just watch the thread for actual questions.
80% of it will be trolling.
10% will be “when will game be good”
10% will be legitimate questions.
and they might just ask you to leave.
This 100%. Gamers have become insufferable pricks the past few years tbh especially in live events. Terminally online people.

Guess what, its their show, they don’t have to take questions if they don’t want to.
What would be the benefit of a live Q/A? Owning the devs isn’t a good reason.
this orc speaks the truth. After all it’s just about

I mean look at the ticket price alone.
This isn’t an event for your average player anymore.

Thank God no live Q&A. Spared the collective embarrassment of everyone trying so hard to be Red Shirt Guy with one noble soul actually having a good question.
