Wait, did Blizzard originally announce WotLK wasn’t going to have dungeon finder at all? I started in cata, so most things before that I don’t know much about.
They did yeah. At the start of Wrath they were adamant that dungeon finder would never be added to Classic, and then they finally rolled that back in the ICC patch
Ok the LFR is one thing, but no RDF is a whole new problem. Well its a good thing you guys changed their mind. Maybe can do the same for LFR. As much as I hate LFR I will still jump in and help.
My guild has socials too that can’t raid, I like to help them out with quicker tank or healer queue. Even if I hate doing the content.
And there was other negative effects that not bringing it in caused like all the gatekeeping and requirements needed just to join heroics. And then that just got even more evident with the other difficulties that dungeons brought.
They just couldnt argue against the headache that was LFD.
If I want to hop on, queue for an LFR wing, and then log off after its over. Then the next day do another wing, or the day after.
The fact that H+ exists with being able to target specific pieces of gear means all of this “they had to do it to get these specific things” nonsense doesnt hold any weight.
There is absolutely 0 reason to not have LFR. None. The only reason there could be is that LFR isnt working probably in some way and if its the loot system then its just not working properly and not able to be implemented. But its certainly not any of this other crap that people are trying to push.

No LFR = a loss of some of the most comedic moments ive experienced in wow. How can I go and watch the entire raid die on elegon and durumu now? This is truly a travesty, especially with celestials being in now, I see no reason not to have LFR. On my main I wont feel compelled to queue LFR because of deterministic gearing in celestials: awesome. Can you all imagine for a moment how terrible LFR will be with no incentive for the good players to come in and carry? A massive loss for all, truly.
I’m sorry but this is just a low IQ take. “Anyone better than me is a no-lifer” is truly just a ridiculous thing to assume, since I dont actually know anyone that I raid with who doesnt have a job and a life. You dont actually have to invest a lot of time into this version of wow to be able to raid, this isnt the Legion-shadowlands era of wow where not doing every upkeep was a loss of power. Most people I raid with raid log.

The legendary questline is completable through dungeons now that LFR is out and Celestial dungeons are in.
Watching the toxic gatekeepers cheering really tells you all you need to know about this decision.

This is a massive L. Most players play casually they dont want waste there time spamming chat lfg for a raid people just want que and move on. There’s good chance MoP player base just drop because this and went back to retail. Even now Ironforge pro population shows higher player count on classic anniversary. MoP classic isn’t looking good and your gonna be celebrating on a dead WoW client.

Where do you see this? Because I don’t see any of the casuals on my server complaining about this announcement. Even the few people I’ve spoken to in guild don’t care if theres no LFR. At this very moment I see LFG chat talking about NBA.

Are you telling the Oceanic players they have to fork out an extra $40AUD on top of the $23AUD for the monthly subscription to play the game for a character transfer to deal with high latency just to be able to raid?
