No joyous journey = no subscription

If you have outside commitments then accept that you are going to get everything and do ever6. No one has to accommodate you.

what a weird way of saying you have no life

that’s understandable with a strictly classic realm. but this is the 2nd expansion, and your incentive is… level at the same pace as classic to catch up 4-8 weeks later possibly longer for people who have regular jobs and commitments. an exp boost isn’t game-breaking in this instance.

Joyous Journeys made leveling enjoyable as you always felt your time spent was worthwhile. This allowed many to ignore the absence of RDF which was limiting the amount of content available unless players wanted to waste their play time just with pointless travel.

Now the levels before Northrend are just a drag. Worse is how few players on the fresh start servers are in the lower level content areas because most would prefer to level their Wrath characters simply because it feels pointless to even play lower level characters at what feels like “half speed”.

Combine this with no RDF and suddenly many see just how much time they are forced to waste without any reward for that time spent.

less than thirty minutes left here… and yes like many others we are not renewing and never for retail

yeah bro totally

transfers lv70 to angerforge

anyway

You all should have been glad that they gave an exp increase for pre-patch. It was not that way in original wrath. To keep to the Classic experience in some measure of sense I do not see Blizzard giving Joyous Journeys buff from 70-80. As it is they did an exp squish from 1-70 as they did in the original Wrath of the Lich King. Seriously if you give up over such a thing then I am actually glad you are no longer subscribing. What happens when you cannot complete raid content…" Awe, I quit. It’s too hard". Good luck and fair winds in your “journeys”.

Very Respectfully,

Did everyone unsub? Just curious…

Bye then

I think your argument is to add RDF back…

You should be able to enable for your account at least after hitting max level (for alts)

Imagine calling it “Joyous Journeys”, directly acknowledging its benefit to the experience, and then you remove it…
All I’m really hearing is, “Stop, that’s too much enjoyment!”
But of course they wouldn’t sell as many boosts if they kept an XP buff…

The leveling grind from 1-80 is too daunting for anyone new to enjoy the whole expansion, especially considering the release schedule will be tighter than the first time around. Forget about alts if you’re casual - until we perhaps get stuck with a long ICC patch.
XP buffed for lvls 1-68 is the most logical, getting you to Northrend, but lvls 1-60 would get enough people over the hump to commit and the leveling population would be more focused, less spread-out across the huge level range.
Considering alts get 20% from heirlooms, a permanent 30% XP by default sounds excellent.

And seriously how many of you are pretending this Classic project is being embraced by the players as a holistic MMO in the first place? Anyone who can make it to max level seems to be treating it like a seasonal every-man-for-himself competition. This isn’t an improvised living world we live in, more than anything it’s an abridged reenactment being played mostly by people trying to take advantage of every situation that can be predicted since it was already written once.

The #nochanges ship sailed long ago, just let people play in the playground you sadistic purists. I never witness this integrity in game, what are you pretending to defend anymore?

Nothing more enjoyable than blowing thru content to level 70, rolling around in lvl 20 gear and wiping normal dungeons because your gear sucks and still dont know how to play. This is typical pug fashion on steroids because of a simple buff.

You dont get it, they wanna grind the NEW stuff. Seriously though, i dont get it. If you only want to play the game for wrath do you even like the game? If the idea of having to play the game to play more of the game is so painful why play? Sounds like you just dont like the game

i wish these same people played a FRESH server and realized half the population on my server literally vanished as soon as that buff went , i’m talking waiting maybe 2-3 HOURS to find a tank in the tool in 20-30 level content, i’d love to have that buff in 1-68 content on the fresh server but buy more boosts amright? my server will die before we even can LOL

I would support the Joyous Journeys buff being permanent for everything pre-68. It made the grind tolerable, and there isn’t a ‘fairness’ issue or other impact that makes the players’ leveling experience less valid.

lol bye.

You can purchase a level 70 boost.
The xp from 60-70 was permanently reduced by 30%.
Joyous buff was in place for the entirety of pre-patch for all TBCC realms.

This is WoW Classic, and I cannot believe you made me say that out loud in type. But it is. This is Classic. Welcome to the grind.

I don’t believe you, and the reason I don’t is that I leveled characters in TBCC at the start, when we had no Joyous buff. I leveled 3 of them. I know how long it took.

And you just did it with 30% less xp required per level. Stop exaggerating if you want us to take you seriously.

I leveled two characters from 1-70 during pre-patch in less than a week, each. If you hate leveling, this is not the game for you. Sorry.

Just don’t play then. Leveling is enjoyable for me. If it isn’t for you, I suggest retail or not play at all.
