I am just going to wait for SoM and quit tbc classic. My realm, netherwind, has pretty much died off at this point to even basic consumes and supplies are double the price they were even a few months ago. People are leaving the game rapidly for benediction or quitting the game because nobody can complete their attunements due to the severe lack of players.
It’s pretty pathetic and disgraceful that blizzard has let this happen to their game. I won’t be coming back to tbc classic anyways.
The initial leveling process of classic wow back in 2019 was my absolute favorite time to be playing this game. A fresh server option and running old dungeons finally and the inability of scumbag mages to sell boosts is very appealing to me. It even gets wiped after a year and I can play again.
And I’m not picking any server but the absolute most popular realm. I don’t care if there’s queues. With dynamic layering there won’t be nearly as long of a wait as classic launch 2019.
I was pretty excited to clear kael’thas and Illidan, but it wasn’t meant to be I guess. I’m not going to transfer characters and spend money on a game I already pay a monthly subscription for just to be able to play the game that I…pay a monthly subscription for.
The server transfers needed to be removed months ago. As well as merging servers needing to happen. And I realize there are complications with merging servers such as duplicate names. There are very clear ways around this problem such as hyphenated names, asterisks, or simply forced re names. Tbcc could have been saved months ago by doing the above and removing attunements.
Season of mastery looks to be super casual still, with a great leveling experience and appropriately tuned bosses. No world buffs is also fantastic and was the worst thing about classic wow anyways.

Not that I don’t disagree it’s frustrating being on a dead realm - and we shouldn’t be forced to pay to fix it.
But you have around 3000 active players (hell let’s pretend it’s 1500 with everyone having an alt that is counting). That’s still super healthy.
There’s some really really DEAD realms with less than 500 people:
Rattlegore
Loatheb
Heartseeker
Kirtonos
Blaumeux
Felstriker
Arcanite Reaper (literally 50 people)
Anathema (literally 40 people)
Incendius (45)
Stalagg (30)
Kurinaxx (27)
Deviate Delight
It’s honestly a bit tone deaf to be making posts about a server with 3k population given the climate and others on this forum.
But if you don’t pay the transfer, how can Bobby get his new yacht?
Btw… just watch how SoM gonna get mismanaged too… you can not escape the paid transfer.

Yet you are going to keep paying them $15 a month to play SoM.
I don’t see how that is supposed to make blizzard care that you are not going to play TBCC.

Bobby’s Yacht is going to need subs to pay for it not one time transfers and sub losses. That’s too much of Bobby’s money just gone… What Bobby needs is a classic shop laughs in Troll
you argue as if people are quitting over paying 25 bucks to move to another server.
Trust me, there are some math wizzards in the math department that do nothing else all day besides figuring out wether keeping paid transfers in is still profitable

All in all. Do you.
But as someone who also played on Netherwind, when I unsubbed, I vowed that I will not pay Blizzard a single cent until I see changes in the way they are managing their product.
Every time someone pays for a transfer, they are essentially e-signing their consent for this business practice. I am very much a ‘vote with your wallet’ gamer. I really wish more would be too. Otherwise, this sort of nickel and dime approach will continue.

Do keep in mind, it is a PvP server, with less than 1% horde. The purpose of the server has been eliminated due to transfers.
Literally the reason I quit.
you still posting here. Again, im not saying people aren’t quitting, but as long as more people pay for the transfers than people are quitting over it, there is no chance in hell they gonna change or adjust anything.
Its a money making business. Its not hard to figure out how they operate. The issue isn’t them (well it actually is BUT) , the issue is us, because we are all too dumb and naive to not pull on the same string.

You have more alliance than either faction on my realm. But by all means, rage quit.
“I don’t see any rage. It’s simply a person telling the company where they draw the line and why. Does it make you feel above someone when you imply they are crying, whining, or rage quitting?”
-They look mad to me. If you don’t agree, that’s fine, but don’t try to make the thread about me. I have 2 of my own threads if you want to do that in those. Now I’m going to delist like I should have. Btw, hiding your profile doesn’t stop anyone from blocking you, it just encourages them to use a longer duration.

I have till February till my paid sub runs out. Till then, I come here to try and talk sense into people.
Thats 4 months. Again, you are in the math equation. And since you still care enough to “talk sense into people” 4 months before the sub runs out, means most likely you will resub.
So yea… another sub or “quitter” that isn’t relevant for removing paid transfers.
Tony D’Annunzio: Well I ain’t paying no 50 cents for no coke.
Danny Noonan: Oh, then you ain’t getting no coke.
Oh no, I am certainly not resubbing. I have not logged into the game since the day I unsubbed. Till it runs out though, i’m getting my money’s worth by being here to join these conversations. Once it runs out, i’ll never be seen again.
I can agree with this. Its sad this forum is only going to tear you down. People live for that crap on here.
either way, you paid till february. You aren’t gonna make a dent or point in the equation that figures out if they should actually do smth about the bad server population discrepnacies or wether they should just keep the 25 bucks transfer in
