Add "Tranq Strike" for Melee hunters

Probably an oversight that this wasn’t added.

I see how much effort the devs has put into creating parody across different builds within each class while still making them feel different.

This said I think it would be a really good addition to add a “tranq strike” ability that functionally just did the exact same thing tranq shot does but in a melee format. This would allow melee hunters to still fill the same role hunters have always filled in classic in this regard, without having to range weave out of the dead zone and miss out on several globals.

even easier. Make tranq shot have no min range like kill shot. Just a couple lines of code.

This feels like a very easy band-aid fix to the problem that would totally work.

Just back out to ranged and shoot. It’s the opposite of melee weaving. And Tranq shot only has 2 uses in SoD now.

I completely agree, add a melee ability or remove the dead zone from the current version of tranq shot. Running out to tranq feels terrible for a melee hunter who wants to perform well. As of now you need to be ranged for 2 of the bosses in BWL requiring hunters to fill out 2 sets of gear if they want to be melee for the others.

Just weave out after your swing timer goes off? not a hard thing to do.

A dev mentioned in the hunter discord that this was proposed because it’s a burden to run out → tranq → run in. It was rejected because they didn’t want to remove that friction…
