No guaranteed loot in dungeons huh?

Google psychology extinction.

Maybe I inadequately described it. A better way to put it is each class’s possible loot varies from a boss. Lacking a specific class would occlude possible loot from the boss table effectively altering the loot a group could obtain.

Currently this is how loot tables work fundamentally: More classes = larger boss loot table, more variable loot; less classes = smaller boss table, less variable loot.

Prior to the introduction of personal loot into raids, items would always have a chance to drop from specific bosses - regardless of which specific classes you brought. Glorenzelg, for instance, would always have a set chance to drop regardless of how many warriors/dks/pallies you brought.

You’re applying your level of knowledge to other players. Not everyone visits the forums or places like wowhead and keeps up to date on a lot of that stuff.

Yup and intermittent is more resistant to extinction thanks for proving my point

I know, right? Sheesh, people are so entitled.

only if you actually get a reward to begin with. A guildie did 10 dungeons and got nothing - they said they weren’t going to run anymore.

Not gonna argue cases like your guildie. The game does in fact give loot. The loot is on a intermittent reinforcement schedule. There is a thought out reason for this. I have not made a value judgement on it, rather pointed out (presumably) their reasoning. We can argue what that schedule should look like but what exactly are you disagreeing with me about?

I am disagreeing with you that your assessment of the situation is more correct than the other person who feels there is no carrot on the end.

Sure one is reality and the other hyperbole.

When it comes to extinction - that ‘hyperbole’ is all that counts.

Since when has dungeon loot ever been a guarantee

Other than a world quest?

So then your beef is with the reward schedule, not the reasoned use of intermittent reinforcement.

Same. I am thrilled with it. It sucks trying to get my last few pieces from heroics, but far better than having gear vomited at me that is nearly all bad.

Not a raider at all. It wasn’t even remotely close to “fine”.

No loot= better chance of players buying tokens for carries . its part of the plan to grow the company… Its sickening

If loot doesn’t drop then why would people buy carries for things that, by your assessment, don’t drop loot.

Think before you speak.

Same could be said for you sister, lets do math together ok? …

If your Ilvl doesn’t move easily because drops aren’t happening you can go to a third party site (there’s several legit ones) and actually buy boosting groups for specific loot paid for by gold which you can purchase from Blizzard in the form of a token, this token is then used ingame for their carry and then you receive the loot. there ya go sunshine easy to understand now huh?

Once again. If loot does not drop, how are they going to be selling you specific loot? Either loot drops, or it doesn’t, whether you paid for a run or not is immaterial.

The game doesn’t say “Oh Ahnohla paid for this run, so loot should drop this time.”

On the bright side you can get guaranteed gear from PvP!

The paid services understand this and make allowances, don’t take my word for it try them out and see, just realize it will cost a few bucks on the MasterCard
