For me mail doesn’t feel like it’s a good match for shamans at all, at least not with how most mail looks. Back before the armor type unification, I always liked how my shamans looked before 40 because they were wearing leather. I would love to transmog leather on my shamans because it’s just so much more fitting.
Same goes for hunters, tbh. You’re telling me that this 7’ tall cow or Maytag refrigerator Draenei covered from head to toe with chain link mail is going to be able to sneak up on or track anything without being noticed? Really? There’s no way they don’t sound like a truck full of nails on a bumpy road.

I actually think leather is worse. I can put together some decent mail mogs but my poor druid had more issues.

OP, do you have Mogit? I find putting together good looking sets much easier with it. I find one piece I really like and mog around it. It’s easier to put sets together that I like with it and they’re more unique than just throwing on a tier set and calling it a day.

Skyshatter set always looked good to me.
I had a fairly decent dwarf one for a while. I’ll see about posting a list of items, but it’d be Alliance specific cause I use some PvP stuff
I guess it all depends on what you’re looking for. As a hunter who was a huge fan of the Ranger and archer units of previous games, it took FOREVER for them to introduce a proper mail cowl that looked decent (WotLK) and one of the best cowls didn’t come out until the very end of Warlords.
As far as shaman sets, I don’t use them as I don’t have a high level shaman and I don’t like using really “flashy” gear on my hunter.
The best Shaman transmog is Horde Blood Guard. Too bad I didn’t have a Shaman rank high enough in Vanilla

Seriously though, if you’re desperate for a frostwolf look just use the frostwolf cosmetic set from your garrison, and a blue skirt. Pretty sure the updated one from BC in Legion will fit the bill. If you have the mage tower artifact skin you’re golden.
