The playerbase doesn’t actually care about rmt and bots and blizzard knows it.
Banning gdkps shuts them up enough while their guild and raid members buy gold lmao.

yea imagine being able to make money from your professions what a thought.
People still buy gold on retail, and I don’t mean through the WoW Token either. There will always be RMT no matter what Blizzard stops or removes.
You mean imagine making money off people buying gold.
It’s ok then tho
one of our arguments was an intended way to make gold when the game was created the other was not care to take a guess which one is which?
I’m not sure because if you removed all rmt and bots both would still exist.
They both aren’t relying on people cheating…
One day you’ll figure that out
Disable all means of direct player trading of both gold and valuable loot. Impose AH price regulation because players are incapable of regulating their own behavior. RMT becomes a matter of selling remote piloting of accounts.
It’s unfair, it’s totally draconic, but it would work. But Blizzard is not capable of doing it.
Blizzard doesn’t actually care.
They just ban gdkps and anti gdkp players call it a win.
That’s literally all it is.
Rmt isn’t going down and bots aren’t going down.
They cheer for the gdkp ban while their guild and raid team buy tons of gold to raid log and buy consumes for raid.
Meanwhile fresh trade chat is going to be “WTS BOOSTS” “WTS LOCK SUMMON 4G”.
It’s gonna be trash.
Downloaded Bulletin Board. Shoved LFG and Trade into their own window that doesnt ANNIHILATE my main chat window. Never been happier.
Sure I mean that’s fine but the point was that it’s still going to be there… because everyone is still buying gold
SoD phase 3 our RL paid us healers gold just to raidlogin. IN SOD that had no problems changing specs and arcane healing.
So good luck finding unpaid healers on pvp servers especially ally shams for TBC.
I’m extremely glad that GDKP has been phased out. It was a toxic element of the game and I don’t want to see a “LFM GDKP” message in my chat ever again.
Increasingly common Blizzard W.
Exactly this. I like healing but don’t care about the gear or the parse on healer, so i can actually enjoy myself while making gold in GDKP, that was always my ways to make gold on alts. I’m sure there are others like me. Those that don’t like GDKP don’t have to partake in it, guild will pretty much never have a GDKP as their main raid anyway.
Well if you buy gold you still can use it for AH and mount and thats it. In the past people would buy mass amount of gold and go do gdkp and gear themselves up with their wallets. Please use your head its not hard to understand these things.
Exactly right.
Every GDKPer makes the same pedantic argument that as long as some amount of RMT exists, in any capacity, in the game then it doesn’t make sense to remove any of it. The impact of the entire server RMTing for gear worse than Black Desert is much different versus people swiping for a few consumes to clear a raid that you don’t even need level 60s to clear these days.
GDKP ruins the entire economy and community structure, Blizz’s words not mine. The GDKP kiddos can gaslight all they want but this is far from a “don’t like it don’t use it” scenario. Besides, era is still there for those like enjoy swiping for pixels no reason to ruin Fresh for the rest of us.
This argument has persisted for over a year. Blizzard didn’t reverse the change; they actually reinforced it. I’m not sure why there’s such an outcry over what is arguably the best change to the game in a long time.
Presumptuous to assert that GDKP participants enjoy “P2W”. What if I just want my contributions to the server from all of the herbs that I farm to count towards my value as a raider?
Blizzard didn’t say anything about the economy.
As far as guilds that’s also fake news.
Alts raid in gdkps not mains.
Believing that someone buying a dagger in a gdkp somehow increases the demand and lowers the supply of mana potions is a wild take.
Re-read the post for SoD.
Blizz states in their blue post “concerns GDKP eroding traditional guild and social structures” Also, no educated person uses that turn of phase.
