A bunch of clones of each other. Specifically clones of that one garbage survival game.
Cheap pixel art games because it’s “indie” to just have bad art, apparently.
Over priced single player games you can beat in 6 hours.
Anime games.
Of course, I’m being dramatic, there’s some gems in there. But not many.
Sometimes I think it’s that I’ve gotten too old to enjoy games such as Fortnite, MineCraft, etc.
Then sometimes I feel like most games these days are just trash from Unity.
I think you’re out of your mind if you think most games are more fun than WoW.
We’re lucky if we get more than a dozen good game releases a year.
If you really want a game that is relaxing and not dependent on gear and running dungeons or raids…try… A Tale in the Desert 10, A Tale in the Desert (ATITD) is a massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) set in Ancient Egypt. The initial software download and all new content are free, with a monthly subscription required to play beyond the first 48 hours.
A Tale in the Desert is a Massive Multiplayer Online Role playing Game (MMO) set in ancient Egypt.
The game focuses on crafting and trading, with a mixed of social and political challenges, and has absolutely no combat.
Within the game is one of the most complex crafting and trade skill systems that has ever been created. This is coupled with tests in various disciplines that challenge players to work together or against each other. Be creative in the arts, build massive structures, create complex puzzles to challenge other players.

I have a hard time getting into games that don’t have a good social aspect, like guilds or group content or a open shared world.
Definitely limits the options. I’ve been checking out New World again while waiting for 10.0, its still a mess in some ways but much improved and the gameplay is a nice change of pace from wow.
Games Tynne Says Are Currently More Fun Than WoW: Hyper Opinionated Edition!
Omega Strikers: I picked this up recently and wow! Fast paced soccer is a blast! I’m not the absolute best but I find the pick up and play nature of it great!
Elden Ring: Still finding new things to try and do, and the multiplayer is still as fun as ever!
Gunfire Reborn: Fast paced shootbang roguelike with cute animal characters! Wow!
I’ve been playing these as I mostly accomplished what I wanted to accomplish in SL, and the main reason I still currently log is for RP purposes. Not saying WoW isn’t fun, I still have a blast doing some casual PvP stuff, and Timewalking is coming up tomorrow!
Just, there’s other things I’m finding more fun right now.
WoW has been my go to for 17 years. I’ve taken breaks, sometimes very long ones, but I find WoW more fun than any other games. I can always find so many things to do. (I have a tenancy to get bored easily and it holds my attention for long periods of time.)
I’ve tried other games and MMOs that were fun. Diablo 3 I thought was great, Rift was fun as hell, GW2 was alright but I haven’t played it in years and ESO was interesting too. I played a little bit of SWtOR but it wasn’t that fun for me.
Factorio - best factory simulation that exists
Anno 1800 - city building based on trade with some warfare
Some type of call of duty zombies - who doesn’t want to kill zombies?
All different types than Wow. Wow is the best in its genre in my opinion – and mmos are too demanding to play more than one at the same time.
Clearly McDonalds has sold billions of hamburgers but that doesnt make their burgers “good”.
The list of reasons why WoW is bad is long. The foremost reason is because it is no longer inspired. Its clearly now just designed to keep the addicts who play due to an addiction to the hamster wheel. People that are addicted to the phony sense of accomplishment wow gives them.
WoW was fun until Ion took over. I played every expac until WoD and at WoD wow just became a hollow shell of a game that you couldnt pay me to play anymore.
Ill try DF because of the big talk about it, but with Ion at the helm, I doubt this game is ever good again. He clearly designs the game to eek the most out of the people who are still stuck playing this game. He has zero respect for the player base.
lmao…like I said…go LEARN what the words mean.
That ANYONE on this planet likes WoW proves your OPINION is SUBJECTIVE.
Now…we are DONE here on this point.
If you keep at me you’re going to the list too.
Deep down you are angry because you know its a bad game but you cant stop because you are addicted.
Also your premise that just one different “opinion” means the entirety of that opinion is subjective is laughable.
Jeffery Dahmer had the opinion that eating people was good. Im still ok calling cannibalism bad and not being subjective. Logic appears to be an issue for you.
Hello, I see you posted a thread about video games. I’m playing the greatest, largest, best MMO on the planet, Final Fantasy 14! I’m also having a ton of fun in Destiny 2 with the Season of Plunder! Drink up me hardies, yo ho, haha!
i play all kinds of games valorant at the moment besides just doing callings in wow i do nothing here really since i got classic toon to 70. then there’s times i ddon’t play no games at all for along time.
Im kind of the same way. Since I left in WoD I log onto my ftp some and scratch that itch of wow without committing back to the wheel.
A game you might want to try that is solo but somehow manages to feel like a living and breathing world is Kingdomcome: Deliverance.
Never quite had an experience like that in a single player game where I felt like I was in a living breathing world. I actually got attached to the NPCs and cared about their fate. Probably the best single player game ive ever played. It plays like a good novel. Its open world and sandbox as well.
I had this problem for a while with games, but what helps some is going back to old games for a while. Things I’ve played growing up and such.
It’s not that “WoW is the only fun game”. Infact; when I’m really wanting to do other things is when WoW is decidedly unfun. It’s just more comfortable, and my brain is effectively resisting trying to break habits.
I find going back and doing a tour of old games is familiar and kind of acts as a stepping stone to break the “habit” of playing WoW, before getting around to doing actual new stuff for a while.
Ive been playing video games since they became a thing lol. The original Pong, Im just that old. lol.
A game usually runs its course with me within a year, tops, but WoW has kept me coming back for just over 5 years now. ive taken breaks from it to get my mind off some of Ions behavior and decisions, but after I clear my head I end up coming back because for an RPG, even though Ive come to dislike MMOs over players foul mouths in chat, WoW is the best game overall that Ive crossed since Ive been playing video games.
That ISNT saying there arent other good games out there. Its just saying of all of them if I have to pick ONE that I can keep playing, even with Ions hardheaded behavior, Im picking WoW.
