Same reaction about lack of a PvE server in the EU. Might still change their mind.
I can understand the weariness about opening multiple servers due to the fact that all but 2 SOM servers died and you just closed over 20 servers permanently however you might be underestimating the interest in Fresh servers.
I don’t see the appeal for fresh PvE servers, it sounds incredibly boring. Like who wants to play the game with zero interaction with the opposite race, that’s the whole point of the game.
The biggest servers right now are PvP, they became unbalanced and turned into glorified PvE realms and they’re incredibly boring. Zero opposing race, no WPvP, you might as well go play Retail at that point since there’s more people playing it with your line of thinking.
You can like different things but objectively speaking most of the popular servers in both Classic and Retail are PvP for a reason, people enjoy interacting with the opposing race. The only PvE servers are are Pagle + Mankirk and both of them are at bottom of the player numbers for a reason so it makes sense why Blizzard went with only PvP.
On Tuesday, August 30, there will be two new Fresh Start realms available for character creation and play immediately after patch maintenance is complete. They will be:
Skyfury (PvP) Maladath (Normal)
We’re really looking forward to seeing you there next week!
No they are PvP servers, they turned to PvE due to massive imbalance on Blizzard’s end that they could’ve solved a long time ago.
When both of those big megaservers started off they were not only balanced but most of the OG players will tell you how fun PvP was.
Maybe Blizz is just trying to recreate that PvP hype again and honestly i’m down to do it, it sounds super fun to experience WPvP again similar to 2019 Classic when Honor Phase 1 first released.
My highlights of classic was still the 40 - 60 man Hillsbrad battles we used to have and running around the zones farming honor.
