Actually Nerus Moonfang, Alynblaze and the Eternal Champion are Paladins.
Try again.
Yeah it’s silly they couldn’t be Warlocks.
Kul Tiran Paladins make way more sense than juiced up Zandas drinking zombie juice.
I’m really hoping they take this approach when we return to Azeroth.
I don’t play a Pally and never will but it would still be a very nice option to see for people who don’t wanna be more boring than missionary boinkage Alliance side.
Given what just happened to the NElves, a major crisis it would be the perfect opportunity for us to go back and suddenly ‘Order of Elune’.
This really doesn’t address my original point. Yes, we’ve seen a few Night Elf paladins in the game. There’s no reason they can’t exist as playable characters.
But my point was simply that I would prefer that it be handled a certain way, namely with bells and whistles, basically. New animations, a unique storyline.
Just being able to roll one would be ok, but having it be a unique experience would be much better.
And the Tauren follow An’she herself and that is their source of ‘light’, the Zandalari drink zombie juice for their source of ‘light’.
Your argument was dead on arrival.
Omg I’m so sorry that comment was actually meant for Averyx I don’t understand why it quoted you instead of her at the top. I’m very sorry.
It’s funny, I ready your post as “there’s no excuse for night elf paladins” and I was thinking “this guy is right, night elf pallys is a horrible idea”.
No. Night Elf == nature. You came from a dang tree. Go with your strengths guys, it’s ok everyone can’t play everything.
Oh ok, that makes sense. Anyway, yes, it would be cool, but I hope they take the time to do it right. Next expansion might make sense, if there is a Night Elf revenge/recovery storyline, for example.
An’she is a he, and they always see him as a way of holy light, unlike night elves.
Zandalari paladins are dumb too doesn’t mean they don’t believe in a sort of light.
Nelf religion was never about that.
Nerus is just a ghost, he’s given paladin ablities in the hall just because, he doesn’t use the abilities he casts them as a mage.
The others are highborne which yes, had paladins as we see on the WoE, and on that basis they could introduce it. However that seems like hardly a iconic thing.
Night elf mages are a result of the elves in dire maul rejoining mainstream night elven society and the use of the arcane being somewhat reintegrated into the culture though. Night elf paladins while they may exist, are not what you’d call a cultural normalcy whereas mages have at least some precedence of being slowly accepted as normal again due to the Night elves getting over their prejudice over the arcane.
If Night Elf paladins were added, the concept wouldn’t have to be based on the small number of Night Elf paladins we have already seen.
The story could reference past examples, but it would be better if it were the founding of a completely new paladin order, I think. In response to the defeat at Teldressil.
This would mirror the creation of the Order of the SIlver Hand after the defeat at Stormwind.
It could tie into the Night Warrior storyline as well.
Once again, completely false. You either have no idea what the truth is or you’re happy making things up with zero knowledge. Either way, you need to stop talking because you’re spectacularly wrong.
First of all, ghosts are extremely common in WoW. Being a ghost is irrelevant to what class you are. There are ghosts of every class, including paladin ghosts. There is literally a recently released cinematic about a dead Uther, who clearly remained a paladin.
Nerus is a Paladin. He is listed in your garrison as a Retribution Paladin and owns the skills Divine Shield and Crusade Commander (which is a variant of Crusader Aura). When used a combat ally, he uses Divine Storm.
There are non-same-class followers in Legion, such as Meatball, so if you are planning to make the “he’s only a paladin because he’s a paladin follower”, then you’re wrong. And neither the preceding nor following expansion made followers forcibly be the same class as you.
Paladin is not a human-only class. Whether you are human, dwarf, draenei, blood elf, troll, or tauren, Delas will join you. She also simply doesn’t say that. At all. Not even a little bit.
Your argument is both asinine and fictitious.
Funny considering how everything you’ve said is provably completely untrue.
Yeah the idea of moonlight and the light of Elune are very prominent in Night Elf lore, which is why I’m not too excited about NE paladins being added without the Elune-themed animations.
They have a very strong Priest Mythology about Elune and following her light. Human Palladins, lorewise, are priests that decided to take up a sword. In fact, that’s exactly what happened when a Night Elf Priest decided to become a paladin in legion.
Seriously, Night Elf paladins would make more sense than so many of the current race/class combos we could mention.
honestly, I get it, some combos are tongue in cheek, like in some way anti-combos for the fun of it. I don’t really know the math here but somehow it just seems weird. NE are trees not stone cathedrals. does not fit.
Yeah, that was the idea behind those race-specific spells for priests, a little something associated with a specific deity or magical style.
Tyrande had Starfall as her ultimate in WC3.
Night Elf paladins could be great, but it would disappointing for a Night Elf to just be a paladin like any other. I wouldn’t hate having that as an option, but there’s an opportunity for something unique and awesome.
