Hooray! Feywaif is back!
I missed him.

I can’t cringe enough @ people asking for dual spec on TBC.
Dual spec isn’t a problem at TBC
If you still don’t get, repeat (and clap altogether).
The whole thing of “buff me - you have the choice to gimp yourself” is a completely false argument.
The issue isn’t that I don’t want to personally have dual spec - the issue is that I don’t want it in the game - I don’t want you to have it and if you do have it I will need to have it too, else you’ll have an unfair advantage. That will change the game.
The game isn’t our own personal bubble - it’s an MMO. If you change a constraint for you you change it for all whether they want it or not. I like the game as it is - you do not. Instead of moving on you would rather petition that the game gets changed to your personal taste. I’d rather you didn’t screw my game up like that.
I don’t want to spend two years playing an extended WoTLK prepatch. I’d rather do that when it’s actually due after phase 5.
Hmm, looks like the walking contradiction gonna contradict again.
Ehh…wuh??
Where did Feywaif mention he didn’t like the game as it is?
And the personal tastes of a lot of people. I mean did you see all the survey and other information very blatantly showing how many people were in favor of dual-spec being added to TBC?
If you didn’t, here it is again:
That post has 200+ likes so far!
But this game isn’t our own personal bubble…
…right?
Where did Seal of the Martyr come from?
My memory is kinda fuzzy…
Dual spec does help the health of the game though. With content being locked behind rep grind on alts, people are less likely to level an alt. I for one wont level any more alts, and therefor will add less tanks and healers to the community. If i could dual spec my pally and warrior the i would be adding a tank and heal.
Of course it does.
Why would a content grind, which is fundamental to the game, block people from leveling alts?
And, for one, will.
If I could dual spec, Kuma would be a Bear and a Tree.
100% disagree. Not one single person I know in TBCC doesn’t have an alt. Even my wife who only plays casually has two level 70s already, and is leveling another alt.
Revered rep isn’t even hard to get.
Also in later phases the rep req will be reduced to honored so having alts ready to go even if you didn’t like the game enough to get revered on your alt, it wont matter cause you will only need honored.
That specific implementation. I am comfortable with. But not where you can switch within the same lockout. I know you and your pals like to pretend that there’s no such thing as an implementation but there is. It matters - some ways of putting a dual spec in TBC are more acceptable than others.
I don’t want dual spec but some implementations of it aren’t game breaking and some are.
But that’s cool - rather than have a nuanced discussion continue with your “gotcha” farming and point scoring.
I’m not the one proposing to change it …
If you don’t like the way TBC is, go back to retail lala land…
It’s as simple as that.
Dual spec will destroy the integrity of the game, making micro management and min/maxing even worse than it already is.
Nothing is preventing you right now from going to your class trainer and change specs. If you really want change, we can discuss about lowering the gold requirement for that, but anything else is out of the question.
DON’T RETAIL OUR CLASSIC!
That’s one scenario. The other, much more likely one is that he doesn’t volunteer to tank at all. Most players don’t want the stress and high pressure of having to tank and lead the group. They just want to relax and pew pew. Which is why dual spec would not help the tank shortage that much. This has been proven historically.
Finally the truth. There goes your argument that we want to force you to play our way when it’s you that wants to force us to play your way.
There’s no unfair advantage. If you face me in pvp and I’m in a pvp spec you won’t know if I have dual spec or if I only pvp and only have that one spec. Just as you don’t know if I respec often to do more parts of the game. Adding dual spec is no more unfair then the game is now. If you’re looking for a tank or healer you won’t know if I have a farming spec or a pvp spec. All you’ll know is that it’s now easier for dps to find tanks and healers if it’s added.
You just can’t stop contradicting yourself.
Dual spec is not a retail feature. You’ve been told this time and again.
Prove this.
Dual spec still not a retail feature.
Do you? Would you care to elaborate?
What is your definition of Retail?
For some, it seems to be anything after WotLK. I wonder if that is the common definition.
I don’t think it was any mystery that Riger doesn’t want dual spec in the game lol. Not sure what the gotcha is here
The mystery is how you can continue to post here when you clearly don’t understand the thrust of the dialog or the arguments people are making. The only explanation I can think of is poor reading comprehension.
Well… the pro dual spec people don’t have arguments. They have brain farts.
Guilty as charged. I’m trying my best to understand the thrust of your dialog and arguments, but they still come across as nonsense. I’ll do better, I promise.
You seem to be having problems understanding the dialog of those who obstensively agree with you too. Since you didn’t learn it in elementary school I doubt you can do better.
