No choice of powers in M+

and now the good powers give me less points in the new system

plumage straight up trivializes much of the trash.

i love it so much.

Hell yea, plumage is baller tier

Just constantly interrupting and CCIng entire packs

Best power

I joked that the seasonal affix should be called Volcanic Plume because it’s really the only power, aside from Chalice, that really have a big impact outside of DPS (Stygian Barbs does increase your DPS substantially but you don’t “feel” it).

To be fair the Satchel of the Hunt feels nice too but not really game-defining. Just a nice bonus to counter some movement mechanics.

I’m low key expecting it to be nerfed. it seems just …too good

though I suppose it accomplishes, in an RNG sort of manner, something people have been asking - interrupt parity across classes.

The one that mystifies me is Huntsman’s Horn.

“Upon entering combat, gain 70% movement speed for 6 sec.”

Who is this meant for?

You mean players do not want to think for themselves and would rather seek out the work made by another then copy + paste ? even to a point just allowing an addon to automate stuff for them .

Sounds like a player made issue .

If I had to guess, I would wager that Blizzard thought Prot Pally and Death Knight would take it, since “they’re wheelchair bound”, without understanding that 10% avoidance for the whole party is just way, way better than a small quality of life improvement on the pull.

Honestly, Crumbling Bulwark is a much better design. It has an effect on pull that helps tanks who lack a good defensive on pull like DK, but it also just has a versatility buff that makes it worth taking even if you don’t care for that on-pull effect (like bear, who can just barkskin). Huntsman Horn just needs something like that. Like, 5% critical strike or something like that. That might make it a competitive option against the Avoidance aura.

I guess… tanks without a gap closer. on pull. if they pull with some ranged spell…

so I guess, if they’re bad?

I’ve been taking the interrupt one (or very situationally the aoe one), but giving the dps with it priority on interrupts.

overall that boss’s powers are underwhelming.

Tyrannical week, trash was already trivial.

I always go for avoidance. The interrupt is so marginal for exactly the reason you mention, letting DPS have kicks over you. I would be surprised if that power increased your DPS by even 1% across an entire run. It’s just so pathetic. The avoidance aura at least has a few different applications - there’s a bit of unavoidable boss AE so the power has seemed pretty worthwhile on Tyrannical. On fortified you probably just don’t fight this guy at all though in a number of keys.

for healers, just give me the mana orb power and I’m good, the rest is just fluff

Oh, there’s a weak aura? thank goodness! I thought I’d have to take time in the middle of a run and actually read all that crap instead of actually playing!

it doesn’t work for me, nothing happens (yes, I have the abilities selected in custom options) but other people are reporting it works

I could see it used for tanks trying to do big pulls. Especially slow tanks like DKs

But I seriously doubt anyone will pick it as a priority

If it was “Each time you damage a target for the first time” you get the buff.

But it’s “Upon entering combat”. So you can’t get it again unless you leave combat.

I was imaging a Blood DK who wants to pretend he’s a DH tank by running around and grabbing a bunch of packs, but if the ability works as written, that wouldn’t work. You’d get the bonus at the start but not refresh it by pulling additional packs.

The real affix is the orb we’re standing around trying to click for 10 seconds

Yeah, it’s annoying.

And then you need to click a SECOND orb.

this is so often the exact scenario

bliz really needs to give this game more flexibility and reduce the amount of timer driven rewards so people can have some fun with it
