You realize you could just not play Cata classic right? I highly doubt they don’t roll out Cata and MoP. TBC was okayish just as Cata was okayish. People played TBC to end up in WOTLK just like people who play Cata would be excited about another shot at MOP. I for one loved Cata. PvP was better in Cata. Way better in fact. WOTLK PvP is grossly unbalanced. Raiding loot systems made way more sense than the four times they changed gear/raid sizes/difficulties. Spending 8+ hours a week trying to do all 10 man and 25 content was insane. Then they added heroic modes on top of that. Dropping better gear in 25 man never made sense to me. Just make the difficulty the same. Cata solved that issue. You can also choose which bosses you wanted to attempt heroic on.
By the time cata is ready to be released microsoft should be in charge at that point i am hoping microsoft will take the sony approach of everquest.
Have servers for each individual xpac that they consider classic and then have a couple servers that will allow players to cycle through each xpac.
And just for kicks charge a separate subscription fee for access to these servers.
Cata was fine, stop whining.
Nobody, and I mean nobody, that matters cares about the dead meme game mode that is Era. It’s a graveyard. Get over it.
No cata classic
Why not have Cataclysm classic and have WOTLK era server like Classic era server? To me this sound like the best solution.
Personally I wouldn’t mind to have Cataclysm classic but as I said as long as we can still play WOTLK via WOTLK era servers.
The opening of AQ gates was the most fun I had in vanilla, the server turned into game of thrones.
I think, at this point, a more realistic demand is to have Blizz jump over Cata and do other expansions, like MOP or Legion.
Not saying your suggestion is bad, but they are not gonna do it, like realistically.
I mean just staying at wotlk Era server and wait it out is another option.
Why they would release an expansion that began the rapid trend ofmplayers quitting one of the best games ever made is beyond me. Cataclysm will be the death of classic once again.

they’d have to rearrange the face of Azeroth for that though. not to mention it was Deathwing’s reemergence that caused the mists around Pandaria to fade away, was it not?
personally i just wish we could go back in time and convince Blizz not to release that Godawful expansion…on second thought…might as well convince them not to merge with Activision period. that’s essentially when things went downhill for the company in general IMO.
just enjoy it while it lasts. blizzard isn’t going to do anything interesting with this that requires resources. they’re going to let it wither and die like every other game they’ve released for the past several years and then run it on a skeleton crew
I have no interest in cataclysm, but I wouldn’t want to deny a fan the opportunity to play it either. I hope they just continue restarting classic vanilla wow every few years. That’s all I really are about.

True, maybe blizzard are good guys after all andntheyrejust trying to cure the classic player base by purging our desires to play with one of the worst expansions of all time.
you do realize that back in vanilla-wrath blizzard and activision were together but they than split apart afterwards if i remember right.

- wait for zone to be roasted
- log off and never return
