No Cairne, no Varian, no etc

I’m pretty sure Varian’s soul is destroyed. :slightly_frowning_face:

Actually, I was looking at some old cinematic clips today and one of them was when Anduin visited the spot on the Broken Shore where Varian died. He finds Shalamayne and when he looks at it, he sees Varian’s face inside the blade. And we know Varian’s spirit survives because Anduin has a conversation with it later on.

It made me think - wouldn’t it be cool if, despite what the Jailer did to Shalamayne, Varian’s spirit is still able to contact Anduin through the sword. If it is just an altered Shalamayne, that could be possible because it has a far more intimate connection with Varian than it does with the Jailer, who basically mangled it.

I’d love to see that being part of their story.

Yes, the expansion that it would be acceptable and almost encouraged to use the old characters we haven’t seen a long while and we’re getting a lot of nameless or rando named souls.

Someone clearly doesn’t play a death knight, or was paying minimal attention at the start of Shadowlands when she SHOWS UP IN STORMWIND.

… I want to see Anduin Lothar…

… That is all …

^^This, so much this!

Haha to be fair Kael was one of my more favourable additions to Shadowlands.

He has quite a bit of flavour to him and fit the storyline pretty well, probably one the less hamfisted inclusions in my opinion.
Unlike say Drakka, or worse every single main character that apparently was able to make the trip to Shadowlands with us.

The only “living” person we really should have seen in Shadowlands in my opinion should have been Bolvar.

That’s fair. I just want to stop seeing Kael as a boss fight. LOL

Can confirm. The Legion campaign for death knights revolves around rebuilding the Four Horsemen. Nazgrim, Whitemane, and Trollbane are the first three, then against our better judgement, we attempt to invade Light’s Hope and retrieve Tirion apparently not having learned from when we did this while under the control of Arthas. It’s also a serious WTF moment since we’re actively fighting and killing Knights of the Silver Hand while a LEGION INVASION is ongoing…

Anyway, Darion Mograine dies for a second time, and at that point the Lich King (given what we now know, I don’t believe Bolvar was ever truly himself while wearing the helm) orders you to bring him back instead as the new leader of the Four Horsemen.

Varian?

I am pretty sure Gul’dan put him on the AH and I enchanted him into my weapon

Varian is one of my favorite character in WoW, and I’ve got a bad feeling it’s going to be something such as his soul being destroyed for good becoming the catalyst for saving Anduin.

If that happens, expect far more people to be calling for Sylvanas to lose her head.

Haha true. Had normal Kael, Fel Kael, Dead Kael, what is next? Undead Kael? Light Kael? Abom Kael?

At least this latest fight was significantly different from previous ones lol.

I do enjoy the fact that it’s a healing thing. Yet part of me wants to go, “Kael… you were a pain in my butt. Screw you, I’m not saving you!”

/has a feeling he wants kael chicken nuggets.

She is a Death Knight now. She helped carry Bolvar to safety after Sylvanas roflstomped him.

No one’s brought up Cairne yet, where do we think he’d be? Ardenweald or maybe Maldraxxus?

I’d say he was sent to a special kind of place just for tuaren… Longhorn steakhouse!

So Varian is twisting in the nether.

Need to save all that for future expansions!! Lol
