~No BETA CLUB ~ Plus Stress Test Mini CLub

Dec 31, 2004. No beta

Same here, regardless, pissed about these “stream testers” same crap every year, they play for clout and hardly report a single problem. I understand from their end what they’re doing, but the people who pushed for this initially are left out in the cold.

Didn’t start until 2007…I was too busy playing Quake 3…until my brother finally convinced me to try WoW…playing ever since. Haha some breaks in there though.

This was actually my first character and still my main in retail.

Playing Blizzard games: 1995
Bought WoW: 2004
Really started playing it: end of 2005

Bought a game token with gold about a week ago to fool around with old zone quests and what not. Haven’t bought BfA though. Wonder if that had an impact on their selection algorithm.

At this point I’ma just let the time run back out until end of August then dump all of my retail gold into game time. Or as much of it as I can at any rate.

Between now and then, I’ll kill time with work, Diablo III, Factorio, and SWTOR.

June 2005 for me, I started a bit late, which is why I always find it funny about people complaining about itemization and dire maul and unarmored mounts, that didn’t effect me back then and it won’t effect me today.

Active sub is an active sub, doesn’t matter how it was obtained.

Just don’t burn yourself out on Beta – that’s the hard part.

I’m more of a spreadsheets/tuning/UX person. Currently unsubbed on retail because… well, meh.

They are the reason why we unsubbed, delivering a sub-par game. Now they want us to resub, 3 months out, for a “chance” to beta test it. They should’ve been looking at their long time beta testers with good report history before ANYTHING else. That’s my major gripe.

I just know, when I get on a beta, I’m looking for stuff to break. Not just playing the game… however go watch the streamers, they’re focusing on leveling fast… it’s just disgusting they do it like this.

That is a good test, though.

“Playing normally” usually doesn’t catch many bugs, but it’s still valid.

Followed the original game in 2003 before it was ever released, I also participated in beta… I have played off and on for years. Having dabbled in most expansions…

Really feel the poo blizzard dropped on my head slowly draining into my eyes…

I myself am a streamer, but I just recently started streaming this year. I Loved Vanilla wow, and I want it to be as good as possible. If I had gotten in, I actually wanted to have people come to my stream and tell me what they wanted to see, or have me test to see if it is working like they remember. All while I try to break everything I can. To me that made more sense as streaming content, than a bunch of people rushing to 30.

I started in 2004, but have had a few lapses (mid WoD to all of Legion and start of BFA).

I was going to try my hardest to break things. Agh, I am so disappointed.

Me too man, me too :frowning: But that’s okay, division 2 just got TU3, so I have things to keep me busy.

My other game has an event starting on the 20th, and they never do re-runs, so I guess that’s an upside.

I would like to say one thing to everyone in this active thread, it’s been a honor. Thank you guys for actually having good attitudes! It’s been a change of pace from the normal toxicity levels, thank you.

2008, end of BC. I thought I got an invite but got an arrow to the knee. Oops, wrong game.

I’ve been playing off and on since April 2005.

April 2005. Played consistently from then till end of WOTLK, then unsubbed. Bought CE for Classic, renewed my sub, and bought the blizzcon pass to play the demo. Hoping that counts for something.
