No Allied Race Customisation? Shocking

Never know some of the customizations could carry over too like if the Tauren got some new faces or hairstyles, or if the Draenei could choose the length of their tails.

Did you play the scenario to unlock them?

This, this, THIS!

Roll a dk for special blue eyes customisation.

Yes I did. I have a Void Elf already. They searched out the Void. You start meddling with powers you don’t understand, there may be consequences.

I think turning purple is mild compared to what it could have done. Have you seen some of the things that have come out of the Void? Yeesh.

I would argue that most Allied Races just need a small touch-up. Probably nothing new as far as customization goes…

The exception being our Nightborne and LF Draenic races that only have 3 skin colors and roughly 0 hair colors. They could use an update, but probably not 40 new customization options.

Of course, tattoos for Kul Tirans, Void Elves, and so on would still be a nice addition. Also, Void Elves receiving a fair skin tone would be nice to silence the argument for “High Elves.” So, hopefully they reconsider this.

Doubtful.

They should give so called “High Elf” customization to both Void & Blood Elves. No reason not to.

Then they can put that rubbish to bed, it’s basically just boils down to eye colour, but you can throw in skin/hair colour too.

It’s no different from how belves, draenei, worgen, and goblins got their HD model updates only after the older races got theirs. They can’t do all the races at once (resources are finite) and the older races are the most “rusty”, so they naturally they get attention first. It’s like if you were tasked with repainting the interior of a school. You’d prioritize the rooms that were last painted 10 years ago over the ones that were lasted painted 3 years ago.

Allied races will get more options too, but they’ll have to wait their turn.

The base races have needed new customizations for over a decade. Aside from some eye colors on the blood elves/night elves, the only customizations received by any race were a couple new hairstyles in cataclysm.

It’s probably going to happen, deep down you know it to be true. And us high elf fans are gonna feel like we’re getting kicked in the gut while we’re lying on the ground.

Nah, I really don’t see it. Especially given the response Danuser gave to an interviewer’s question, Blizzard knows it’s unrealistic.

can we get drow also?

Really? Most of the allied races have an absolutely pathetic number of choices, whether it’s skin color or hair styles. If they’re left behind in this wave of new options, they’re going to look even worse. And these are races we have to actually grind for in the game, they should have far more choices than the base races do by default.

they are lacking in choices because they ARE the customization.

it did get to ‘well it’s fine for me so there’s no real problem’ pretty quick.
This community loves to feed on itself.

Nearly all of my chars are goblins. I will with time and money race change them to vulpera (or make new ones, depending on leveling speed) . The fact that goblins can now get more customization will not change that cus im already dead set on vulpera, which btw arent even out yet.

Now, my opinion on this is, stick with what you like, they’ll come around with balancing customization eventually.

Yeah, no. If they were “customizations” they would just be options we could pick in the barber shop. They’re races. And if I’m doing the work to unlock these special races, they need to have at least as many options as the base ones do.

yes, that’s what they should be, but the devs wanted you to grind for them to increase the time played metric.

What is that avatar??? I WANT IT.
