The Black Ops ad immediately in your face on BNet launch is unnecessary. I use BNet launcher to play Warcraft. I bought and paid for Warcraft. Please do not put an ad in my face I have to close on BNet launcher again.
Sincerely,
Me.

You do realize that BNet Launcher is also used for Black Ops and other games besides Warcraft, so it gets ads and info for all of them.
I don’t care about other games. I don’t want an ad pop up when I launch a game I bought.
Just wait until the in flight movies start.
Get on a FP and the game pics the ad depending on flight length!
It would be nice if the ads they show are only related to the game you are currently viewing. But I don’t have an issue with them showing me ads for other games on the launcher. Have you tried the beta B-net launcher yet?
but the ads are on the launcher, not the game itself :v
i don’t like ads either, but asking a company to not have ads on their own launcher is like asking for a store to not have ads for their products displayed around the store lol
Did it really destroy you to click that X once and never see it again?
I don’t mind ads either… ads that I don’t have to close to launch the game are fine. The one I’m talking about you have to close to play.
The ad isn’t in the game you bought though? It is in the battlenet launcher, which is the launcher for all of Blizzard’s games. We’d have an issue if it happened while I was in-game, but it doesn’t happen. It’s a non-issue.
I think this is the core of the thread and I agree – launcher ads is fine. I understand the need and they are not that intrusive. But once a game is loaded, I’m immersed and ready to play.
No, it didn’t. Doesn’t mean I can’t mention the poor practice. It’s not all doom and gloom.
Wasn’t there meant to be a bnet update that allowed you to hide all the other games? Whatever happened to that?
The “Battle.Net” launcher, NOT the World of Warcraft launcher. Just to be clear, it’s not built for just 1 game.
Yes, it is. It’s on the tab for Warcraft. You have to close it to play Warcraft.
Oh no. You have to push X.
Oh young child… so much to learn.
Oh the horror.
Can you recommend me a therapist? I’ve been trying to get over clicking X and need someone with experience.
I don’t mind ads on the launcher, but having to get a full screen ad that I’m forced to click X on is rather annoying. Don’t worry, Blizzard, I won’t be purchasing Black Ops, I don’t care for Call of Duty.
Bnet launcher premium; No ads!
