I can see that this is happening for a long time now. There is no achievement for rescuing the dragon. Please fix this bug!
Rescuing Valithria is simply winning that particular encounter. In Wrath, individual bosses did not have achievements. That started with Heroic boss kill achievements in Cataclysm.
It’s not a bug since that’s how it was designed at the time it was designed. If you want the developers to consider enhancing the old raids to more recent achievement standards, post in a non-Support forum like Dungeons, Raids, and Scenarios.
