Just received an email from GameStop notifying me that pre-orders for the new Nintendo Switch 2 console will begin on April 24th @ 12pm (Noon) Eastern Time on their website.
Or you can pre-order in-store when your local GameStop opens that day! Quantities are being limited to (1) console per household! Hoping to get my hands on one. Really want to try out the Mario Kart and new 3D Donkey Kong game coming out on it!
nice but never buying a nintendo product again until they do something about these asinine prices. $90 for a game? the hell? also it’s always the weakest in terms of performance of the big 3 consoles (xbox/ps) not to mention we got steam deck for pc which outperforms it. the price is insanity and their games are always high after years of being out. botw2 is pretty much $90 (add the dlc) for some reason on the switch 2. it came in 2017, wtf?
i use to love nintendo and they have a lot of cool games, who doesnt love mario, dk, metroid and the crew? but eh, them being exclusive and incredibly greedy. switch was my last buy and it was a mistake because of the joycon drift to which a replacement is like $60? i guess they wanna fight the “console wars” all by themselves while everyone else is done with it lol. we’ll see how it holds up though.
Put myself on a waiting list directly through Nintendo’s own online store. Fingers crossed I get selected.
Pre-ordered mine at Best Buy last night. Walmart and Target opened preorders at midnight, both either sold out almost instantly or just had so many site issues you couldn’t add one to a cart. Because Best Buy delayed making it available (12:25 or so), I ended up one of the first in line for it, so I’ll be picking mine up at midnight on June 5.
Gamestop is opening preorders at 11am today.
Also, no games are $90, that was misinformation. MK World is $80, which is dumb and I think it should be $60 or $70, but that’s just one game.
