Nightfall: end boss credit not granted, event presumed permanently stuck

Exactly. Also, people don’t realise it’s not just killing mobs, there are other things involved (like flying into flying mobs). I was doing this solo while everyone else sat around. Also a couple of minibosses spawn (in different areas) and I was soloing that too, LOL. People don’t read the text. :frowning:

Isnt the test real supposed to stop this kind of stuff happening? Bad programming making it look like a bug = job security

Just had the same issue…

There’s restarts (maintenance) again tomorrow morning, but I’m not wasting time doing the event until I see more people saying populated realms are fixed. I did this on about 3 characters that the end boss didn’t complete on.

I’ve done the event twice successfully, another time to see it brick on the last boss and twice more to find it still bricked hours apart when I arrived. 5 alts.

The two times it did work:
One time I had the Overall Progress bar on right but my value was not the same as others telling chat their values (I saw 20%, they saw 40%, etc) and NO mini-quest info at all. But I did have the top bar for progress chests.

The other time, no top chest progress bar but overall progress WAS there. No mini-quests still.

It’s a hot, inconsistent mess. And whatever shard I’m on, has been bricked for hours.

This is happening on the Nagrand server after maintenance also

Stilled bugged on Nagrand after the maintenance.

Zoned in on an alt to it showing progress was already on kill the last boss when the event had not even started yet, tried shard hopping and while progress updated to correct, still did not get boss credit.

second attempt on alt with shard switching and still no boss credit, going to go spend the rest of my might with a less broken game : /

Wonder why they have not done a full global fix for this. Must of messed up bad while coding which is a Blizzard guarantee these days. There has not been a Patch since either BFA or Shadowlands that was not 20-40% Bugged and required 3-6 weeks to fix most of those problems but not all. There are still bugs in Old content that have been there since BFA and even when Reported as in If I did it today it would remain unchanged because they struggle to fix Bugs or Glitches completely because they always leave an Error somewhere else in the game and if they went and fixed that it would snowball further.

Multiple people on my shard on Frostmourne have same issue as OP - Flickering text at top of screen saying Next Reward:

We also have multiple evading mobs.

Flying out of the area and back in doesn’t help.

Yesterday it was a different issue where we had to keep flying out of the area and back in to get the objectives and progress to display.

Just another Blizzard Slop outdoors event of endless lag and bugs like all public Slop events before it.

I noticed on launch they AGAIN (as with EVERY event before this one) did not limit the shard to 75 players, so it was 6 seconds of lag between every ability you press. Just like timerifts. Just like dreamsurges.

This company never learns. Your game engine CAN NOT handle more than 2 raid groups in the same area. Every time we have to screech about it in the forums to get the sharding reduced to 75 players per shard.

There has to be someone in the team by now that is like “uhh guys… lots of people in one area at the same time is going to lag, maybe we should limit the shards to 75 again”

Maybe that guy is just keeping quiet coz they fired the last few guys who said that.

It blows my mind how incompetent blizzard is with these mass outdoor slop events.

I just came from the scenario site in Hollowfall and the darned thing is bugged. Lots of players…NO MOBS. Everything is blinking but nothing shows up.

Great job Blizz…you should have had this setup running smoothly, after all you’ve had practice with other events of a similar nature…so fix the bugs that showed up even before the event started. I’ve tried twice to do this and both times nothing was showing up although there were a lot of players around.

I’m pretty disappointed in the poor execution of this.

BTW, I tried to use the in-game bug report but even that is not working. That support window just keeps blinking and not loading, so you seem to be really having issues with something that should not have been that difficult to launch. After all, you’ve done many of these types of events in the past so you should have learned from those what works and what doesn’t.

GOtta love how they couldnt even make the ONE feature launching with 11.1.5 work correctly. I’m quite sure visions will be bugged as well in a months time lmao.

More than likely.

You don’t get clued into this, or any credit for it, if the objectives aren’t popping for you. And they’re not showing up for most people, hence the kill everything zerg fest. It’s the only way to try and fill the personal bar

Its almost like they don’t have these things on PTR for months…whats the point of PTR when this is how they’re gunna release things. 8 hour maintenance with a maintenance the next day as well and its still not fixed. Delayed release of events just for this?

I had the same problem as the OP. It started out seemingly fine. Progress Bar was filling, Suteki Champion Slain displayed as objective. I then got disconnected for several minutes. I believe that was my connection, not a Blizzard problem. But when I got back, it seemed like the boss had spawned while I was gone, so I went to do the rest of the quests for Nightfall.

When I got back to Hallowfall later on, it was the same as the OP said. Flickering Answering The Call buff and Next Reward at the top. No visible progress bar. I tried dropping the quests, rebooting, leaving the zone and coming back, nothing worked.

It is a big deal, the whole point of the staggered release of content this patch is to get each thing done before the next one comes out. I want renown 10 with Flame’s Radiance before visions come out may 20. So far we are 2 days and counting behind on that reputation due to completely bugged content. Literally the only playable new content doesn’t work. It is pathetic.

Damn useless developers. I mean it. If I did this kind of job on my project, I’d be hung by my … well, you know what. I usually give programmers the benefit of doubt but in this case, I can’t stay silent anymore.

OK So this time the event went mostly OK… few evading mobs here and there… but then the final boss didn’t give anyone credit. Sureki CHampion slain 0/1 and people hurling blizzard abuse in chat, and rightly so.
