What really ticked me off about it was how much extra customization work was put into the Void Elves, which had less lore and backstory than the Nightborne that you spent like 2 years with. I don’t understand why Blizzard didn’t take more care with customization and look.

I want to like them, they need work in the face and the animations are so stiff and unappealing

Females looks good, males tho… same issue as with the NE males lol, but Nightborns are soooooo lacking options in customization.
those are the same models, they are just standing with night elf posture rigging instead of the nightborne’s rigging

I love Nightborne conceptually, and I do have a 120 NB Hunter, but they are in desperate need of some tlc/updating. The NPCs look so much better compared to our chars with this race.
And the males as a whole are just outright /unfortunate/

For me, the worst part is the face. Seriously, me and half the playerbase expected our faces to look regal, like the npcs, but oh well…
I don’t dislike the current models, but they are far from fine. Even from an objective point of view they have a lot wrong with them. I don’t know all of the problems with the males, but females have at least half a dozen animation issues that cause them to snap around like Samara from The Ring when they’re running, sprinting, and doing most basic melee animations. On top of that neither gender has any options to actually look like Nightborne, what we have is an approximation of a Night Elf face with some Nightborne changes. That’s not ok, regardless of opinion.
Also I want more than five haircuts, why the hell did Void Elves get a dozen hairstyles for each gender, but Nightborne only have five each?
If they just used night elf faces they’d have improved looks since half of the faces are only subtle differences too.
Whoever says nightbornes look “fine” are delusional. Seriously. They look nothing like the actual nightborne that got introduced in Legion. I was extremely disappointed with how they turned out. Hence why I don’t have a nightborne character created. I hope blizzard fixes them. They look more like nightelves than anything. It’s a shame.

The males have it the worst with the horrible body proportions. Mainly because male Night Elves which they obviously used as a base are also horrible in body proportions. Blizzard really needs to revisit the nightborne models in time for the new customization though I heard somewhere that allied races aren’t getting much in the way of customization.
I tried to get the heritage armor to work, but I just can’t do it.
correct, they look better. The Nightborne models in legion are low res with hideous faces, and no unique character. Yes, there’s much to be said about the lack of customisation but get serious thinking that NPC model is better looking.
Nightborne can be fixed with at least two young looking faces.
