I wouldn’t be surprised if that is what happened, the Night Fae will journey out to help their Night Elven kin cope with the loss.
Unfortunately I don’t think Blizz would allow 4 legged races as much as I would love them.

The old story has come and gone and we’re on to some new stuff.
We won’t be seeing world building the same way it was previously done I think since they can start making up their own stuff now.
