From transmog to animations. The female of most of the races look much better. I never liked the male night elf gorilla arms, for instance.

Originally female Nelf was more lore accurate because in WC3, the military were all female while the druids were all male. WoW has long since done away with that, as of vanilla likely because they didn’t want classes to be restricted by gender (and, tbh, probably rightly so), so… have at it.

Good idea, I like male night elves, but their casting animations are just… interesting.
Ultimately though, chose what race you want because you like the aesthetics/animations, racials if that’s something you really care about, not because of what others think of it.
The night elf model is exceptional, except for the shoulders. Both genders have jet pack floating shoulder pieces that size disproportionately
Yea the Third War really hit everyone pretty hard. Post war some traditions needed to be relaxed on.

I’ve always hear that everyone hates the Male Elf’s casting animation. Flat out despise it. Personally I kind of like it, where they say “Oh he’s having a headache waaaah” I like to think he’s concentrating his spell.
Night elf is always the right choice.
