High Borne customizations would be paler tones, but that is already present, maybe those super dark tones are related to the night warrior ritual.
Currently, the bulk of Night Elf society are made of the followers of Elune and the followers of druidism, being the “traditional” core society. But then, we also have the highborne of Dire Maul that joined before the Cataclysm, which introduces that lost side of Kaldorei culture that follows the arcane and have less relation with Elune and Nature. We also have a largely unexplored side with the Wardens, and Maiev, while being a traditional part of night elf society for all those years, have never been “part of it” more like a separation, and while not much, Jarod also brings a flavor of pre-sundering military aspects. And there is also the Elves that over the years, having relation with other races, have been adapting to things other races do.
So seeing all those mixes getting represented in the customization options somehow will feel good.
I can only think about CHIM and Amaranth in small bursts before I need to drown myself in coffee. The Thirty-Six Lessons are not light reading material either, lol
I kinda agree with some of that. I mean I love it because I love the colour, but it seems a little black for the normal Night Elves. I’ll be using it because I’ve always loved Dark Elves and I think it will look striking with the whiteish blue hair they have, but I would have preferred it for my Nightborne rather than my Kaldorei.
I know they said they wouldn’t be touching allied races this go, but I’m still hoping they throw us a bone and let us at least use some of the new skin tones from our “parent” races.
I saw someone in reddit link a screenshot of a skin tone like the one night elfs are getting that was in for Nightborne since legion, but for some reason never added.
It wouldn’t surprise me. That first one the Nelfs are getting looks a lot like one I’ve seen on a few Suramar NPCs. I’m glad one of my elves will be able to use it at least, but I wish the devs had done a little more with the Nightborne rather than just the bare minimum.
Back to the Night Elves though, those tattoos look really neat…
I don’t think they have a especific number of customizations, some races probably will get more (blood elves) than others. I may be an exception, but i like the diversity this highborne customizations brings to night elves.
Antlers too, that would be neat, I know we are not all Demi gods (might as well be ) or druids but I think the nature reverence all night elves have warrants antlers.
I think the Highborne customizations are great too, especially for mage nelfs. Who knows who will have the most customization so far?? Lol
