NGL Hogwarts Legacy looks good

Don’t know why your post was flagged but I’m going to get is as soon as I can, it looks like a blast.

You mean the glitches that were discovered and only worked because of how the game was written to effectively get more out of the system?

The fact that these early games were as expansive as they were while operating on such relatively small file sizes was pretty good work even if you could abuse the viridian trainer and fly to avoid combat and hack the cartridge through specific inputs to duplicate items or force certain monsters to spawn

given a lot of recent AAA releases, I think I’m being pretty generous

You can’t wait to join the Horde?

Oh, right, that other game.

call my standards to high but im not very impressed after looking at some combat. looks pretty cookie cutter. there are plenty of abilities and combos but all of it feels copied from other games. nothing new or unique at all down to the ability wheel. maybe it advances with talents but I see no reason to play this over something like dragon age for example when I look at it.

Man, that is why I am so conflicted. When they showed off that Hufflepuff room I was like “man, that’s just my dream home”.

Really? Combat looks amazing. That was a huge hook to me, dragon age is way too dated for my taste.

Yuuup. Infuriating lol.

I almost wish they didnt show off the common rooms until release so youd be surprised lol

you must not have played many rpgs then. feels really cookie cutter to me. I’ve seen it all before in my time playing similar games. very simple combat and the animations make the combat feel less fluid and while will look cool at first probably get really old as you start to pour hours into the game.

I’m gonna play it primarily for exploration. Huge open world with Hogwarts and Hogsmeade? Sold.

Mate, I play every single RPG I can get my hands on. Nothing about this is cookie cutter, Just look at the combos, the thought to put into the battlefield and the situational awareness. That is something a lot of games are missing, it really feels like GoW combat but with range combat instead of melee. You gotta block, dodge, use certain skills to CC the area and use consumables when you need something

Combat looks amazing. Much better than Dragon Age’s or mass effects. Dragons Domga might be slightly better but it really reminds me of God of War but with wands instead and that combat is not cookie cutter to me.

I actually thought it looked great, reminded me a bit of modern GoW

You’re not buying the game for the exact same reasons though. Rules for thee, but not for me?

The game itself looks quite good from what I’ve seen so it’s definitely something worth trying.

Personally think DD had the best combat in an ARPG, only other game I think rivals it is Nioh 2.

Stoked for DD2 tho. :joy:

I’m not buying the game for the sole purpose of “owning” them as I’ve explained.

Yeah, that is what I first thought of when I saw the combat, very god of war but with a wand and I am all up for that. The combat does not look unsatisfying since it requires quick thinking and action.

I think I’m going to get it, but I’m extremely annoyed it doesn’t hit PS4 until April. It’s very likely something will happen in that two month delay to convince me not to get it or wait till it’s half off.

That said, there better be lawn gnomes for me to throw.

I’m looking forward to it. Honestly, it kind of looks like the game a lot of friends and I were hoping for when we were young and reading the books. I remember there used to be this website where you went to “class” and participated in the game via forums. A lot of us wanted a game where you could make your own character and explore Hogwarts.

Exactly what does this have to do with WoW is my question
