NGL Hogwarts Legacy looks good

A link to the common room previews, for anyone interested - or needing a refresh, like me!

Yeah… I’ve seen review after review, and even memes about how badly optimized the game is, how many weird bugs it has, how many crashes, pop-ins, t-posing, muddy textures in the distance… you name it. Very, very glad I’d cancelled my preorder (though it was for other reasons than worrying how the game would perform), because I cannot justify paying full price for the state it’s in now.

Maybe once it has some patches to smooth things out, people will be able to appreciate the good ideas a little better. Because it truly did bring some new and fresh gameplay mechanics and things to the formula, even if some still need ironing out.

Haha, I would take the quiz over and over for fun, answering the same or slightly different but still truthfully every time. It flipflopped me between Slytherin and Gryffindor, every time. Never any mention of Hufflepuff or Ravenclaw. So, they’ve just been my houses ever since! But back when I was younger, people would always sneer at people who liked or got ‘sorted’ into Slytherin, so I’d always just declare my Gryffindor allegiance.

Nowadays, idgaf. The years have let me grow up and also examine both houses with more understanding and experience. It just is a shame Rowling decided she’d rather be a straight up garbage can of a person, thus staining the entire franchise and ensuring we were unlikely to get anything better out of her when it came to representation or studies into the other houses outside of the - frankly biased - book depictions.

She’d rather use her time writing books trying to justify her garbage viewpoints, instead. :dracthyr_tea:

Gods, now that I’ve watched the common room showoff again, I’m really having trouble deciding. Gryffindor is still as nostalgic as ever, but my god Ravenclaw aesthetics are peak. Hufflepuff really reminds me of a hobbit house though, in how cozy and just… warm it feels! Slytherin, meanwhile, reminds me a little bit of the Dimitrescu castle? Probably still my least favorite, but I don’t hate the vibe it’s going for.

Hhh. Why is this so hard. :dracthyr_uwahh_animated:

Nah not really.
Like I said, if they opt to not show improvements (which it feels like they have) then I leave.

while still paying for the same protectors for so many years. Like I said, hypocrite. You rather buy into PR stunts and paying the same people who allowed such things to happenn for so many years.

Please point to where the hate is.
Do you mean the concern at which a giant author continues to be against trans people?

Yeah, I disregard anything those racists have to say (and make no mistake, they are the real racists) and have done so ever since they compared me to orcs because of my skin color.

It’s on my steam wishlist. Not sure when I’ll buy, but yeah I mean it looked cool (as most games do). I try to buy games on sale though so I may target other games instead first and not get it for a while regardless of how well it is received.

I’ll probably end buying it but aside from NPCs feeling a bit “dead” I feel like it’s gonna be a Cyberpunk situation, everything they’ve shown about the game so far, save the NPC interactions have been just way too good.

Yeah I will say my experience is peppered with the fact I experienced maybe 1 crash in my entire playthrough. A couple more if you count raids crashing, but I honestly think that was more my internet being bad (which it was) than their servers (Which honestly likely did not help).

But fair move, I honestly can’t justify anyone getting it for full price either, despite how much I personally loved it.

Oh yeah I remember that lol. Back when I was a kid it always had to be Slytherin and my meaner twin be in Slytherin. Good vs Evil, the war eternal lol. But then as we got older, we both ended up sorting into Slytherin through Pottermore so that was fun lol. Based purely on the “ideals”; self-preservation, ambitious, cunning, I’d like to say it fit both of us lol.

Not gonna lie, just based on Common Room alone, Hufflepuff is too lightdamn cozy and I want to live there forever. But I plan to stay true with my green hole under the lake lol.

Just make 4 characters and have them all chill in their respective common rooms :stuck_out_tongue:

Honestly I may end up doing just that. :dracthyr_hehe_animated:

It looks pretty fun, but I don’t really want to play because I am not a huge harry potter fan.

this is why hp is mid. wide as an ocean deep as a puddle.

So i took the test on wizardingworld website.
WELCOME TO HUFFLEPUFF
You probably know that some of Hufflepuff’s most renowned members include Nymphadora Tonks and Cedric Diggory. But did you know that Hufflepuff’s house ghost, the Fat Friar, still resents the fact he was never made a cardinal? Or that Hufflepuff has produced the fewest Dark wizards of any house at Hogwarts?

I guess im a Hufflepuff.

I fail to see how this was ragebait. Nothing in his post mentioned anything about rowling or expoused views of any kind. He just stated the game looks good, which has been done numerous times on this forum with other soon to be released games.

A lot of Hufflepuffs here. Where my Slytherins at

Right here. Will be making a Slytherin first and learning as many unforgivable curses as possible. At least for the first play through.

Also why I’m excited for the game. The books were always a character journey with some interesting aspects here and there. But now we get to explore the world ourselves

I’m a Slyffindor at heart, even if I make a Ravenclaw for their common room!

Same, I tend to get sorted into Slytherin or Ravenclaw, but it’s also cause I used to always try to answer in a way that would avoid Slytherin. With age came acceptance that I have that side of me :stuck_out_tongue:

Ain’t nothing wrong with Slytherin! We’re ambitious and cunning, just more focused on keeping ourselves safe before worrying about others. I think that’s a fairly healthy mindset to have, most days!
