The cards have been out of print for years, so scalping isn’t the right term; people are selling what are essentially collectibles right now, the same as if they were selling off any other possession. If a seller were to drop the price to $10, the card it would be bought instantly by the first person who saw it, and there still wouldn’t be any for everyone else, just like any other collectible.
