Thank you very much! My little DKs are ever so grateful.

Does this work for people who are still in Legion? I wonder because I have a friend who hasn’t upgraded yet.

Very cool, thanks for this.

So you’d rather they did nothing? If you can’t work, I think a WoW sub is the least of your concerns. Besides, you can pay for your sub with gold.

I love this. I might actually bother to level a toon or two now lol. I was wondering what this strange buff was in the corner of my screen.

Whilst this is nice for most, it sucks for us who already have (or are close) to the 50 character limit per account.

Like I don’t understand why after adding so many races and classes you still haven’t raised that cap that has been since 2004… storage isn’t a problem anymore and you can only play one toon at a time.

On the contrary, I’m aware of those.

I just think the XP boost is entirely unnecessary at this point.
It’s addressing the wrong problem.

People leveling alts have easy access to heirloom gear for XP boosts already (which I actually think are unneeded, but can’t take them away at this point). New players joining the game probably don’t care about leveling faster, so long as they’re enjoying the current experience.

The problems happen when people hit the level cap.

Players of all stripes hit the level cap and come across a wall of stuff they have to grind out, most of it being tedious and uninteresting. Furthermore, players are effectively told to abandon the quests they’re currently doing (and in many cases, enjoying) to go after the shiny loot progression.

Experienced players know the shortcuts… but even then, it goes from an enjoyable experience leveling and questing to a grind-heavy and time-gated one where the whole point is to get more power. Comparatively, new players will just run into the first parts of the endgame and just completely be at a loss at what to do; when they DO find out what’s actually needed to be done and what’s there, they’re generally unimpressed by it and don’t even bother.

But to put it simply:

WoW’s endgame isn’t that good.

Especially anyone not already heavily invested into said endgame, it’s just a long and tedious grind with no purpose. Cutting back on those grinds would be more beneficial than shortening the journey to get there.

On the other hand, the leveling experience for the most part is a well-rounded and enjoyable experience for just about anyone: a vast world to explore, stories to experience, and so on. Cutting it short just to get the less interesting parts of the game just seems pointless.

After all, I have around a dozen several characters sitting at level 110 right now. It’s not the leveling experience which is preventing me from taking them to the level cap.

It’s the knowledge that once I get there, all that awaits me is a festering pile of garbage.

well i don’t have a sub so this basically is nothing to me. i can’t spare the money for a sub when i’m not working for what looks to be close to a month. i’m sure it’s totally wonderful for those who can play but i can’t.

at a time when the well of good will was looking dry, you guys pull a solid

amazing QoL buff at a time when any little bit of moral boost is welcome.

Ahh did not know that. Thank you!

Have some empathy dude. We can’t just “not work”, we can’t do ANYTHING. I count myself among the lucky because I haven’t lost my job entirely, just taken a 40% pay cut. Not like I can go supplement it with a second job right now. For people who were laid off entirely, all they can do is focus on their health, and that includes finding a way to be social and entertained during isolation so we don’t lose our damn minds.
