Yes. This is how science works. You typically make conclusions, study it more, and then make more conclusions.
Do you know what a hypothesis is? Are you not aware that, as we gain more knowledge on something, that things can be subject to change?
They also never said masks didn’t work. They said homemade masks didn’t work, which they rectified once researching more on the subject.
I just want to point out, a lot. Which is why you are told to cough into your elbow not into your hands. Not only does more spit spread, but it also then goes on your hands that you proceed to touch everything with.

Actually that is not correct, there are many types of speech that are not protected, and freedom of speech in prviate, or corporate, settings are not necessarily protected. Freedom of speech is not absolute. Google constitution free speech rulings and you can see some of the protected and not protected categories of speech and the court rulings.

Yep I’m too dumb to think for myself or make my own decisions. I’m also too dumb to assume the risks of my own decisions and conclusions based on more than just the word of the experts. I need someone to mandate every area of my life so I don’t fall victim to my own ignorance and uninformed opinion. I don’t know whats best for me so I need my entire life mandated and controlled by the experts. If only we could talk about the flu everyday and mandate masks, social distancing and limited church services we could save so many lives from the flu too!
You’d rather yourself or others not survive over wearing a mask in a hypothetical situation you provided in which they did work?

Wearing a mask is not about you. It’s about everyone else. It’s about carrying some semblance of normalcy in our lives so that we can continue functioning as a society. It’s about protecting the grandma who is standing on the other side of the aisle because she might have an illness that could kill her the moment she contracts something we don’t have a vaccine for.
I hope you realize that your persistence in not wearing masks doesn’t make you look courageous. It just makes you look like a fool for thinking you’re smarter than educated people on the topic just because you have “experience”.
I have experience reading a lot of books. I’m not about to tell famed authors how to structure their books properly. I don’t really know why this should be any different.
Heck I LOVE wearing a mask. No joke. I hate having to fake smile outside so getting to hide it is pretty sweet.

I hope you have worn a mask year around for your entire life. Newsflash there are other viruses that kill people 10s of thousands of people if not more every year. Im just going to assume you didn’t give two fakolays until the TV told you to.
And we have vaccines/shots for these viruses. As soon as we get a vaccine for COVID-19, we won’t need masks anymore either.

Actually I’m just amazed it took a virus like this for everyone to suddenly start caring so much for each other. Like I said, if only we could be just as passionate for other deadly things in life like the flu. I’m sure we could save at least 1 more life from the flu if we mandated the same things for that as well right?
