You aren't actually reasoning with anyone lol. I like tips, esfand, and staysafe... but they didnt really accomplish anything here, not that its thier job to but you mak im ng the claim this is promising is stupid...its not promising.

Confirmed what I said previously, they are thinking long term on this.

Hence, technical and architectural tradeoffs between Vanilla tech and what they need for the next 5 to 10 years.

Look at all these "conspiracy theorists" from that video's comment section. Some of my favorites and all the comments calling them out are the most upvoted.

"The dead, vacant, tired look these guys have is what happens when you sell your souls kids. They regret it, but they are "pot committed" now after quitting their jobs prematurely and hooking up with the devil (Blizzard influencers like Asmongold)."

Can't wait to see how you unethical clowns defend 6 months of content with broken, dumbed down raiding due to debuffs, talents, threat not mattering, mana efficiency not mattering. Bet Blizzard regrets any plane tickets, lodging, meals, giftbags and collectibles (which are hard to value and therefore used to bribe influencers) they gave these guys. They have ZERO influence.

BTW Activision Blizzard has actually posted job listings to communicate with their influencers. This isn't a theory and people are simply catching on to the BS peddled by companies like Activision.

Really? They have been great for the community, making a lot of videos explaining why Vanilla is a diffferent game and why it was better, promoting #nochanges, etc...

Just because they are not acting like it is doomsday like I see manchildren doing here, now you try to throw them in the trash?

SHARDING! That is the ONLY thing that is concerning and we need to convince them to take out of the game.

Fonts, stats, regen, droprates, etc. are wrong, but the PR guy made them feel like those are unfinished things.

We need to focus on sharding and asking for early alpha/beta access, so we can Classic team polish this thing.

All they had to !@#$%^&* do was dust off an old 1.12 server install image file, load it up on some hardware that could run it, tweak it for 6 months max and say BAM, Classic guys....

People wanted No Changes....


uh you do realize you can't just dust off old 1.12 servers right? they got rid of all those old servers years ago and can't get them back

people have unrealistic expectations. There is no way they can make a 1:1 to vanilla, the undertaking is just too massive. Reasonable people understand that things will be slightly to even moderately different.

Not even the precious N server was 100% correct. People just need to calibrate and temper their expectations and understand that it may not be perfect but it will be the closest thing you can get

You set your standards too low. They're replicating a game they made in 2004. Any triple A company could do this.

That's what I was saying before Lore commented on my thread. If you go read the very first post on the guys calm down thread you will see I was saying exactly that.

Nope. Can’t do that either, not if your entire model is based around having your games hosted on a unified launcher and connection to a modern gaming service.

If you’d actually watch the Classic dev panel you’d know this was never going to be an official WoW Vanilla emulator.
