if you do good dps and join a guild there should be no issues with playing a feral. However if you want to pug or do high end content you may have to select a spec that is more popular/gives more utility to the raid.
Even though feral was strong last xpac groups still didnt invite me because they wanted me balance instead of feral. However those are just pugs
