True. It’s a weird thing though, I think paladins have better mix and match potential with plate than priests have. But I’m a weird race so I don’t get to try everything together really.
I feel worse for warlocks than anyone else. Their sets have gone from fire to dumpster fire.

The other colors look like Warlock sets tbh.
The problem is that the paladin set looks like plate, so I don’t see them being swapped.
They certainly have better potential, but it is not utilitized. Their whole shtick should be a hybrid class, but they destroyed that with the removal of seals and now every class has self healing so paladin has lost everything that set them apart.
Like imagine if druids lost their multi shape shifting and couldn’t go feral if they were guardian.
I honestly thought that they mixed them up by accident and it would be corrected at some point lol
I always considered the Tier 6 or 10 to be the Pally look .
It’s weird the Pallies complaining in here that the “dress” of their next tier is what makes it look like a priest while simultaneously pretending Tier 2 is “definitive” while it’s also a “dress”.
I’ve not complained at all. I simply replied to a person saying they confused the 2 mogs at first glance, by saying the colors on both don’t help with the confusion.

Sorry, the other response i got was coming at me like I’ve picked a side in this “debate.” It’s hard to decipher the insults from the random comments.
There was no sarcasm in my post. I was pointing out that the colors and design of the priest set are clearly meant to evoke Alexstrasza.
Now that I look at it the priest set seems to borrow from the old Grievous Gladiator set with the Diablo looking glowy wings/halo that popped up.
It was unnecessary, i guess, then. I was lending creadance to the confusion of another poster’s by mentioning the colors, which are an exact match to the paladin T2 set, arguably the most recognizable armor in the game, and your comment seemed like a “you’re wrong, here’s why,” post. As i was only attempting to lessen the confusion of someone else, you telling me that the armor looks like something else serves no purpose, because it is irrelevant to what was being said.
People keep using this as a reason for why the set should be given to to paladins and yet, in all the years I’ve played this game, I’ve seen it exactly one time 8ish years ago. How can it be so iconic if no one ever uses it and people never see it out in the world?
Again, I’m not advocating for the set to be given, or taken. It’s iconic because it was the most popular paladin set for over a decade, with more fan art than any other set in the game. I also said most recognizable, not iconic. And one more time, another poster said they were confused by the sets at first glance, and i stated the colors didn’t help that confusion, so whatever you seem to be arguing is completely moot, because I have no stance on the subject at hand.
eh…the similarities between the sets are overblown. I can understand there being a kneejerk reaction to first seeing it, but a side-by-side comparison makes it pretty apparent:
Take away that hood/cowl thing with the glowing eyes and no mouth, and there’s basically nothing in common between the designs. Except…maybe that vaguely wing-shaped belt element on the priest set. And if they’d posted a preview with literally any of the different tints instead, even the slight color similarities would have been irrelevant.
Yeah, and that was all i was saying. Someone had that knee-jerk reaction, and i pointed out the color scheme being part of that initial take. I never said they look similar, or even suggested the sets should swap. Just lending some help on another poster’s quick glance reaction.

I don’t care what any of y’all say everybody thought the priest set was the paladin in so many ways everybody got certain points on their opinions and I’m not saying that we should switch because the priest should have something nice I agree with that but it looks like they’re about to fight with a weapon with melee if you look at it, it don’t look like they’re going to cast you to death and what do you think of paladin is it’s a priest and warrior put together it’s a fighting priest and both sides of this argument knows this a paladin represents vengeance and clearly the looks of the set speaks vengeance 100% not to mention that have the paladin colors and look not just of the Diablo but you can see it all through they both have cloth looks to them as well and both if you really pay attention so instead of swapping because I feel like the priest sure have their day too they should make the paladin have their colors back and give something similar to the priest since they all priests and warriors at the same time a paladin should be able to look like a paladin and this isn’t whining this isn’t crying this is just been honest and real so I really don’t care what any of y’all say even the ones that’s on my side I’m going to speak the facts that actually covers what anybody got to say and I’m going to spit the facts you see cloth look in both sides even in the paladin armor you can see cloth as well as in the priest armor but you can also see plates in both and like I said I agree that they shouldn’t swap although it does look like the paladin set is the priest and it looks like the priest is the paladin set but I won’t say they should swap places I say they should have fun with their look it looks awesome but I feel like the paladin should have a rework immediately and the art people knows this they can see that I think they got lazy with it and it doesn’t look really bad but to be honest I’m not really happy with it when I first looked at all the sets before I read it I thought and I was so happy to see that we were getting a set now I see that we’re not because it’s for the priest I’m not trying to put down or bash the art team but they really letting paladins down by taking the color theme as well as looks that’s very similar to Diablo and certain parts of the armor. That looks plate and give it to the paladin and then switch cloth looks and give it to the priest so I say and hopefully blizzard does something about this the priest should keep their look and just give paladin a paladin look and a paladin color and everyone
will be happy
