New talents in pre patch

Every time I think I am the biggest whiner and complainer on this forum, someone shows up to try to take my trophy.

yeah…it will for some players. Im so casual I just clicked the ā€œstarter buildā€ and if it has the stuff I like to use, I leave it. I think most casuals will do what we’ve always done, just use the abilities we need and leave the rest.

Hardcore DPSers will netdeck like they always do. To be expected. they want max performance and its understandable…

It’s not that big of a deal TBH, given there is no point to doing keys, raids and OvP as it’s going to be the off season.

I get that. I’m just someone who hates meta. So to me it’s like ā€œmeh I have to pick this or that to competeā€ I’ve always felt this eay whether it’s Yugioh or Wow. It just stinks feeling like your hands are tied.

It wont be that bad, and everyone will get used to it

Thoroughly dramatic about something that has absolutely no bearing on the classes
Why?
Because the talents have been live to test out on PTR for a long time now, as well as calculators, and DF beta, and so on

We already know how the talents work and guess what, we have more powers available from the talents alone than we have had from Legion, BfA, or Shadowlands even at level 60

With the odd exception of Assassination Rogues due to them having their final talents at level 61 rather than 57

Sorry that you find it stupid but … no one else does
Well, at least anyone actually arguing in good faith

… you haven’t been on the PTR or even as much as opened any DF talent calculators have you? We get access to the final talents at 57 (except Assassination rogues that got trees that are 2 points longer than everyone else’s), our classes are fully operational at 58 with having reached the final stages of both the specialization and class trees

Definitely.
I think thats another reason why I gave up trying to progress to the upper echelon of content. I am just here for the role playing aspect. I really dont want to be a clone of every other player out there.

its the same with Magic the Gathering, used to be anyway. Someone finds something that works and boom…everyones doing it…and now cards are being banned or restricted, lol.

No creativity or originality at all.

There are a few classes, windwalker monk for example, where its impossible to hit a single capstone talent at level 60.

I like the talent trees don’t get me wrong, I don’t like to wait on 5 points for almost 5-6 weeks

They look like a bee’s nest. I feel bad for the people who find out what is best.

You’re missing 5 points per tree. Yes I played on beta and on ptr, and how tree for my class works I will be able to squeeze some minimum, and still I’ll be missing one major CD.

I can’t say I’m excited since the talent trees honestly scare the crap outta me, but it will be refeashing to finally have them to mess around with.

Im not sure if the wowhead calculator is out of date but i just checked to see if this is true and i can hit them no problem with level 60.
Not all at once mind, but i can reach up 2 at the same time. 1 depending on route.

Edited because i used poor phrasing

Interesting, it must’ve gone through a revision when I last checked. Good to know. :+1:

Because wowhead calculator has points you will get when you lvl from 60-70.
So basically it has extra 5 points per tree

Ive not used all of the points.
Ive used 25 of them which it says requires level 59.
If i use another it says level 61 required

its only for a month and the only thing going on is quests so it will be fine. already been playing on the beta with out those points on level 60 and the new ui ā€œafter I spent a long time getting it just rightā€ is amazing and the talent choices are really awesome. we will see a lot more hybrid stuff and people need time to get their character the way they want

In DF? No
On Pre-patch? No, because that’s not DF yet - just DF content in SL

Sorry but regardless of how one twists and turn things, we aren’t missing abilities until DF actually launches and at that point we get 'em by leveling up

Furthermore I just looked into specifically your class and specialization and …
I’m sorry but you have access to MORE abilities than folks have access to on average at level 60 come prepatch

If you are making a sweeping overall statement, you are wrong
And if it it was fueled by concern for others, if its assassination then sure I think most people agrees that’s just weird and really not fun to have happened
But in every other case we get access to more stuff and more options at level 60 come prepatch

Okay, and? I’d rather be able to accurately pick which alts I’m gonna level in which order before Dragonflight comes out based on how much I like playing the class in the pre patch.

Don’t get me wrong, I prefer the MoP era talent tree but it’s not staying. Pointless clinging onto it when I could be learning the new trees on my main and alts.

lol. I cant even say I like the talent tree…its not how I would have wanted to do it. But it is what it is. Bliz making things a little more confusing than they need to be.
The three talent rows were perfect. Give us a longer list of three talents to choose from. The tree just forces a choice that I dont want to have to make to get what I want.
