New system has created unfair advantages for people with gold

Side question - how do you level with crafting orders? I’ve done a handful and never gotten a skill point from them.

It works the same way as if you craft an item. If the craft would give you skill points, knowledge, or player exp when you craft it yourself, it will also do so when you do a work order. I’ve been doing it on the side with my alts and getting all 3.

A lot of that is driven by the amount of epics available and how costly they are on the AH at the moment. Right now epic BoE’s are over 500k on my server and epics are still in shorter supply. I expect the prices to go down as epics become more easily available (once all world quests start dropping epics instead of blues for example).

Okay, so I’m not missing anything. I guess the notion that it’s an efficient way to level your profession comes from the possibility that the person requesting the craft order supplies the materials?

If it is a public order, they have to supply the materials, so definitely. If it is a private or guild order, then you should make sure they do if that is the agreement.

Ah ok, I didn’t know that about public orders. As a JC, the only public orders I see (when there actually are any) are for the Lariat, which well, yeah…
