I concur.
The now Skyriding is great for long distances and horrible for short hopes or precise landings.
If you want to land on top of the high points and click the node then skyriding is horrible lol.
I very much enjoyed swapping the type of flight I need via different mounts. This also had the side benefit of using different mounts which kept things fresh.
