that being said just @arena123 the rogue for opener with w/e your micro cc is after getting in combat. Should impede the opener somewhat.
You guys are all excited for mop while forgetting subterfuge doesn’t break the invisibility for stealth in that expansion. I’d say this 6s is still tame compared to that. Edit: although MoP doesn’t have universal combo points or energy cooldowns so they’re gassed if they play like op’s suggesting.
I recommend looking at it like, if you deny them this subterfuge window they’re not getting another without a restealth / vanish. So you’re forcing them into gameplay you can predict. It’s worth spending reources to stop this rather than just getting danced on the next Dr. IMO
Also bring back faerie fire 30s duration or w/e stealth denial.
It’s mildly annoying not having the extended range but that’s just because I’m used to having it. After I get used to the shorter range I doubt I’ll notice. Still a feelsbad but eh it’s whatever honestly.
i think youre misunderstanding the purpose of stopping a rogue opener.
if i hit the rogue in stealth which is hard, he should no longer be in stealth i shouldnt have to hit the rogue just to stop the sap so he can triple cheap my team for collective 12 seconds while having 100% uptime on his opener.
thats like every time i press abom limb you literally cannot get out of melee range from me so i can cleave.
the mechanic should not only be countered by another rogue.
I agree that subterfuge is dumb, I"m just advising what my humble opinion is on the best course of action because blizzard doesn’t care. As a rogue main. Trust me, they don’t care. We’ll go nerfed or unnerfed with xyz broken until the cows come home and only random sweeping damage tuning will be done.
You don’t have to hit the rogue just get in combat with their teammates. You need to be in combat not the rogue.
if the rogue doesnt get a sap in the first 5 seconds of the match we have an entirely different issue
the only class that can catch a rogue in stealth and punish it is rogue and maybe DH and thats if you dont step cheap immediately as he hits you out of stealth

Loldead, no offense man, but rogue is not nearly as easily counterable as you’re suggesting. You have a several-seasons-long history of struggling with rogue (sub 50% winrate below 1600 mmr) and this was when rogue was one of the most broken specs in the game. We have had three straight seasons of rogue dominance, so to come out of left field and say that a hunter is bad because flare prevents vanish is both rude and disingenuous.
This is so crazy I don’t even know how to address it. No one got massive rating advantage from “gear exploits” and even if you dislike the guy, making things up is ridiculous.
Loldead, there’s no reason for you to lash out at people every single time they talk about rogue balance.
I don’t actually know that guy, except he’s an insane rager. I remember beating him in 2s in BFA and he suggested my partner and I unalive ourselves because I pressed chains of ice and walked away from his warbreaker.
