This is my belief too. Bliz said they want it to be BiS for everyone, and until it is they’ll just keep buffing it. Question is if they do it by giving it stats or if they just keep buffing the procs.
Yes, using which build of SimC? You choose from the dropdown menu at the bottom of the page.
Single target
Which build of SimC, not which talent build.
Quick sim with simultationcraft
i ran both 89,222 DPS on nightly and this 89,233 DPS on weekly
I’m surprised then, given for Shadow it goes from like -4k to +800 or so when the bug is accounted for. You’ve definitely got Twilight Blood and Arcane in it?
Gotta remember we’re losing 1000 haste after losing our attack speed buff from razz bow. The whole gameplay just feels hideous without the secondary stat
I mean yeah I agree, I don’t like using it as a Shadow Priest because my spec also heavily relies on haste. I’m just genuinely surprised that even with the bug it’s still that bad for you, that means unbugged it’d have to have been like -7k? I almost feel like it’s more likely something isn’t up to date.
Apologies for the tone of the back and forth, I’m more intrigued / perplexed than anything.
yeah I’m running Desirous Blood Stone Prophetic Twilight Stone and Humming Arcane Stone
the ring needs to be treated more like a trinket. Trinkets always have either secondary stat(s) or primary stat otherwise the trinket is always garbage no matter how great the special use is. When a trinket only has stam + special effect it is always quickly put in F tier and not even tanks use it.
Why would you even sim it @ 424 if we can’t craft it to that lvl ?
To show what value a ring of the same ilvl as the annulet would have if it had stats on it.
There is no one “community” that thinks alike and speaks as one. Some people like to play a lot, some want to log in once and log out for the week. Some like easy content, some like hard. Some want to play alone, and others can’t feel right unless they are always playing in a group.
There is actually diversity of playstyle, skills, and preferences. That’s exactly how MMO’s are supposed to be designed. The issue is that catering to only one narrow demographic means those who don’t fit neatly into that box are less likely to stay. And therefore there will inevitably be fewer players if only some are given something to do that they find worth doing.
There is no “community” that got “what it wanted” and is now complaining. The people who used to do world quests as their end game didn’t demand that their content be nerfed and minimized until it wasn’t worth doing.
And absolutely the worst thing to do is to want people who you have entirely misrepresented to leave quietly, as many millions have. No. Good customers complain when they see something going wrong. If you’re trying to make the game less profitable by driving away other players and essentially lying about them, you are a bad customer.
/10 chars.
Not true at all. When you’re in +5-15 keys and you have the luxury of sitting around spamming wrath crit wins out significantly because you’re just a dps that has some healing buttons. There’s no threat/pressure you’re under, it’s casual gameplay.
When you’re in a +25 and everything you do isn’t enough to keep people alive, mastery wins out because you don’t have the luxury to sit around casting dps spells all fight.
Yes, the ring is bad… but arguing that mastery isn’t good because at i390 you spend more time casting wrath than you do healing spells is silly… Yeah, you probably don’t need much healing throughput in timewalking dungeons, but you do in +25 RLP.
I’ve been using this, but I still don’t know what people mean by “double-dipping”. The entire point of the twilight gem is that any gem with healing synergy will proc your other dps gem. Doesn’t this just double the dps of one of your gems? I didn’t really study the Combat log to figure out what was going on.
It just seems like a good synergy gem.
Regardless of the balancing of this ring, the development time that went into this is a huge waste of time.
The blood gem also counts as a healing gem, despite doing damage, so the other gem is proccing it too.
Conventionally things that provide damage but leech the target arent considered healing effects to avoid this sort of situations.
