New raid and the gems are too strong

Yea by people misinterpreting the video in the first place.

I guess people can’t share info on youtube because of how GD on the forums reacts. Sounds like good strong logic…in a bonkers makes absolutely no sense and is misdirected sort of way.

remake leggo?

damn what a waste of time. wish i just started playing @9.1 instead lol

damnit fml

Easy work around is to make the new lego ranks have the raid gem slot and have it. Not work with other gems

What we are witnessing the last defense this game has for its poor game design. You can only ignore the truth for so long. The game is bad right now and really has been since shadowlands launch. It will recover when 9.1 releases and then. Bottom out again.

They’ll probably nerf it when it does come out or have it where can’t stack the some gem in your gear with that I’ll never seen that raid if this keeps up.

They’ll absolutely nerf it after it comes out.

Aw ye your class’ abilities mean jack when 90% of your real damage comes from a post it note.

Corruption 2.0 let’s go boissssssssssss.

lmao.

I might be wrong but I thought the gems and set bonuses are only active if you’re in the raid or Torghast.

Raiding is one of the least lucrative avenues for gearing for time spent.

Wiping 200 times over a month so 4 people out of 20 can get a 226 item.

But technically if nothing changes from what’s on the PTR, that’s exactly what people will need/want/feel obligated to do. Don’t get me wrong, I’m not a fan of preach, but in this case, he literally is just reporting what’s on the PTR.

And it seems pretty easy to understand and there is no spin to it. If they don’t change anything and a piece domination gear is the same slot as my legendary, I’m going to wind up recrafting the same legendary just so I can wear both. Which, IMO, is really stupid, especially when there is such an easy solution, just give us something that allows us to change which slot our legendary is in (which he also mentioned) … boom done, problem solved, nothing more to discuss.

It feels to be like blizzard didn’t really have any plans at all. Like SL come out let’s make Lego on certain slots. 9.1 let’s make raid tier set…… wait a sec some Lego share the same tier set. Let’s add more slots Lego can make. It feels like they have no plan beyond one patch and they are adding random stuff and need to keep back padding to make things work.
Shouldn’t they have a general idea on that they want to add in each major patch and how it interacts with previous and future patch for the expansion.?

Only if you’re running high keys. Otherwise, it’s unimportant.

But I doubt it’ll go live like that.

This is what the self proclaimed raiding class wanted. They wanted loot to matter and well you got it loot matters now cause you can’t get it anywhere in a reasonable amount of time. We the raiding community caused this by sockpuppetting influencer and streamers who all have been for years carried through raids. But I will say gearing in raids indeed is slow but so is everything else now. That’s why everyone including elites paid for a pvp boost and now they needed that. Some of us tried to tell you all. Join the right side of the argument and vote for more gearing paths and loot for everyone. I live in a large community and I haven run into one person I know who gives 2 hoots about wow in years.

I don’t have any problems with shadowlands gearing.

This is the first expansion in years I’ve cared enough and made spreadsheet tracking my items and where drops come from now that gearing was slower and with no titanforging upgrades more direct.

I’d rather have raid tier sets than these shards, but they have a similar effect.

I do think they should only be active in the raid, but that doesn’t looking to be where they are going with it.

Well. Sylvanas said it best. “Ours is a cycle of hatred.”

You seem smart man can’t you not see they are setting this game up to pressure people to buy gold and then purchase carries. Wake up bro the vast majority of people that play wow don’t have time to raid 20 plus hours a week. The game design is predatory and it’s about to get worse. Can’t you remember what the old vets said was going to happen when the WoW token was announced. Even if you are able to raid full time for years eventually you won’t be able too. The vast majority of the player base is ex dedicated raiders. There is not a whole lot of skill to Wow no matter what people think.

Pretty sure mythic+ was created to help fill the niche of challenging PvE content with progression and great rewards, but without having to commit to a schedule and having less people. Not being able to dedicate to a schedule doesn’t mean players are bad or can’t do hard content.

And flex added to all raid difficulties but 1.

But, there is still people who can have a steady group and enjoy it. So I don’t think abandoning that style is good. Over 13,000 guilds have killed at least 1 mythic boss. It’s not just a few people.

And contrary to forum rhetoric, Blizzard keeps making changes to reduce the benefit of boosting. The change to requiring 1 win per week for the bracket to count (something I’ve suggested months ago) makes PvP boosting less lucrative because it’s not a 1 shot buy and forget like it is now.

Making valor costs the same for all ranks doesn’t making buying KSM as helpful because you can’t just farm easy keys and pump the gear to 220 or you’ll run out of valor. You want to be farming 12-15s for 207-210 drops to upgrade.

Personal loot (as much as I have my gripes about it) makes things like the GDKP runs we see in classic less of a thing since funneling gear is difficult. Cross realm is part of that too.

And most guilds raid 6-9 hours per week. Nobody is doing insane 20 hours except the crazies who push week 1.

13000 guilds is a tiny tiny fraction of the player base and what I know for sure is 30 percent of that is raiders on alts in other guilds. If you go to wow progress less than 1 percent of players step foot in a mythic raid.

“No more systems beyond what you see in beta”

Patch 9.1: Surprise! New system.

WoWprogress doesn’t even track all regions like Asia, it’s way higher.

So, let’s assume each mythic guild is actually 10 players instead of 20 because some are alts. I would argue it’s higher but for the sake of discussion.

13,000 x 10 = 130,000 players.

Now you said it’s 1% of the playerbase.

So that means WoW must have 13 million players of 1% of the total is 130k!

Math is fun.
