gets worse, if people just dont like you or you are a ‘large threat’ you will be targeted match after match after match
experienced players can cope with this kind of ‘treatment’ but this kind of treatment to new players is a deal breaker.
they (blizz) has only just removed stuff like /spit from the game, that kind of treatment in vanilla has hardened me up, welcome to 2024 lol
None of us exist, we’re just simulations, all of our experiences are the result of another entity dreaming.
Gravity is caused by invisible, intangible, fairies. They live in the simulation of the electricity in your house.
You glad yet??! You post when you glad!! - old Chinese proverb
For me, I have just enough real world and wow experience to put folks who share rude comments on ignore and move on.
For new to wow pvpers, there is no wisdom I could share to make pvp seem fair without months of mentorship.
Old player, new pvp’er here. Honor level 11. After AWC I just decided to give it a try.
My only experience in pvp was Korrak’s Revenge anniversary event like 5 years ago to level a warrior and never play it again. I leveled a priest in KR this year as disc and it was actually fun trying to keep hordes of people alive.
So I took one of my myriad paladins(my favorite class) off the shelf and got some greens off the AH. Only ran a few epic BGs tonight to see what was what and it was pretty fun. I picked up the pvp honor tokens and upgraded them, crafted a weapon and bought a shield from the honor vendor.
Do I upgrade the honor gear or leave it alone until I maybe get enough conquest to buy other pieces?
How do I do the sparks of life weekly?
Do I just do Epic BGs and BGs to get honor or what else? Do 3v3 people want a green geared complete noob in the queue?
What’s the bare minimum add-ons I need to keep my head above water, not be on the bleeding(pun intended) edge?
So many questions, where are some good pvp resources?
Don’t upgrade the honor gear. Conquest was just uncapped yesterday. Sparks is wpvp. I would suggest healers have to die, weiz pvp, battleground enemies and capping. for add ons. A good resource is Icy Veins.
Spark’s weekly quest. You do it in the zone that it is for that week, and you can progress that quest by killing players( i suggest going to looking for group and searching for sparks and joining a team that already has four people if possible, five people in a party is the max to get credit for the quest, cannot be progressed in a raid group), kill rares, loot war crates, loot boxes/chests, and complete world quests in the zone the sparks quest is in. If you know what you’re doing, it takes very little time to complete the weekly sparks quest.
It’s incredibly tough for new pvp players to survive. I just leveled up an alt, and he’s almost in full conquest gears now. I started playing Blitz today, and wow I ended up with 6 losses in a row, 0-6.
This alt’s MMR is down to 1200. I honestly don’t know if I’ll ever make it to 1500 LOL. I can only imagine how frustrating it must be for a new pvp player to experience something like this right from the start.
New to PvP, I would suggest joining an RBG guild, making friends, getting on peeps friends lists leads to more friends and games, fun nights of laughs.
Rest of pvp is a sweat fest of Hardcore players not soo much fun atm.
