New players are not welcome in this game

The biggest problem with mage tower appearances is that there has been nothing of equal value since then.
It was a pretty awesome bunch of appearances and skins that basically marks the last time there was that level of creativity in the game.
Imo, if you look at everything since, it’s all been marginal at best.
The people that missed it want cool appearances too. Blizz has to figure out how to let the fomo and, prized-posession-of-pixels people keep their pride and also let new people get something of close or equal awesomeness.
They have failed at this for every year since the MT closed.
Similar to the challenge sets in MoP. I wasn’t there, didnt earn them, dont want them. I’d like to be abke to get something as cool though.
It shouldn’t be a conversation of getting THE mage tower appearances, but about getting something LIKE them.
Torghast was that opportunity in SL, and it has been wasted imo.
Just my 0.02.

Unfortunately for new hunters all three bows with flower particle effects are no longer attainable.

You missed my point.
Having unique things, fine.
I have always advocated for them to reskin it to some fel variant if they are bringing the MT back to give it at least the authentic as possible reward.

I have some of the rewards, including the werebear original, don’t care if they’d brought it back. They won’t. And again, fine with that.

But if you think moaning about it 'cause you can’t feel special isn’t ridiculous then agree to disagree.

This is true. Instead of spending so much energy arguing about years-old transmogs, the playerbase should be clamoring for NEW, even better appearance options.

And, obviously, what I’m really talking about is… 300% more particle effects on everything.

can i go back to when reagan was president it aint fair i came when a crap president was in office? btw baby boomers ruined my life just kidding.

I agree with you, some of them were entirely 100% unique to the tower (for example, the flails and the bear rigging) - so the better answer would have been to do them ALL in some fel recolor. People would have been quite happy with that I think. I would not have felt my earlier work was diminished, in fact, it would motivate more me to go back in and collect as much as possible.

My main reply, complaint was with your ww2 analogy.

And yes, but I don’t care if they did bring it back. But I always have said if they did bring MT back which they are, doing reskins of the appearances would be a nice way to give it an authentic experience + reward.

You and I will still have our exclusive reward from then.

I’m okay with stuff you can miss out but not when it comes to faction items. Both the mounts from the burning tree should have stayed in the game. They are part of the regular warfront transmog sets too. This should have never happened.

I agree with you on this, 100% I probably didn’t link your earlier comments with your later comments, my apologies.

Classic movies always make a return to the big screen, always are re-released when a new platform takes over.

You have take advantage of such things your entire life, don’t try to pretend otherwise…

Lets see, original Ghostbusters versus the “remake”… Hmmmm

This sums up my feelings very assertively.

I’ve expressed to other about the new generation of gamers who want everything everyone else has whether they’ve earned it or not. I’ve (more than once) been told “You’re just old, this is what the world has evolved into”. Evolution is what you call it?

To all parents of younger children or soon-to-be parents. Let this be a valuable lesson. Teach your kids what the word “no” means.

Yeah it’s a feel bad moment I agree.
Personally, seeing that they are bringing MT back in timewalking, having reskins of the weapon appearances would of worked for me, and I have some of the OG stuff.

We can’t go back in time in real life and acquire things that happened then. All I’m saying.

Blizzard and its artificial scarcity, that’s where I say… don’t return to the past. Provide new rewards for the current player.

And if people want the quality of MT mogs, then that’s what Blizz should be working on

Limited edition items are just that… limited edition. Why should Blizzard have to de-value those things just because new people decide to play the game half a decade later? Why should anyone get special treatment? I didn’t get most of them, but that was my choice. Blizzard shouldn’t bring any of them back regardless of the amount of uproar in this forum about it. Deal with it.

All those games have brought back limited time items. For events or store deals.

This doesn’t apply here.
You aren’t getting it by just logging in.
It ain’t a participation trophy, learn the difference.

I agree that the newer kids want it all - but this ain’t it.

It doesn’t. At all. What it does is give someone else a shot to earn something you have and you don’t want them to have it.

This isn’t a rare Pokemon card that they’re suddenly mass producing thus killing the value of your unique card.

This is one of those things that nobody else cares you have except you. People only care if THEY have it themselves, and apparently a lot of other people care way too much that people might be able to get it.

Blizzard can you give you a feat of strength that says “This player outgeared the content when it was current in Legion.” Maybe a title like “Really Good Player” so everyone knows you were subbed to the game during Legion and did a thing.

And you get nice stuff. And class fantasy. Go get ALL OF THE OTHER ARTIFACT APPEARANCES. There’s FIVE OF THEM with a bunch of colorations.

Geebus, people… :woman_facepalming:

In a way, the people who want to keep mage tower appearances locked away forever are basically just acknowledging the game’s dying off and they’d like to be the last people to have the good things before everything started getting bad.
