You know it’s going to be good when they lead with gems like this.
I really liked your post by the way and I felt bad when you mentioned about finding the boats and all that (it brought back memories of my first days).
I just want you to know that most of the things in game are accessible and just because you didn’t play Legion, BFA or MOP - you can still go into those raids, dungeons and get gear for cosmetics, or work at getting a toy, pet or mount to drop. If you’re so inclined. It’s all still very much there for you.
Probably for the same reason yall keep clicking on and responding to the threads knowing what it’s about.
I’ve played since the beginning of the game and nobody has ever asked where I’ve obtained any of my titles and I have some very rare/hard-to-get ones. Which reinforces your “who cares?” comment.
I mostly use them for me. Same with my transmogs.
I’m so sick of these whinefests.
you not getting something someone else has isn’t a punishment. it’s not a “you’re not welcome” You simply did not play when the items were available.
for those of us who did, we were told they were limited time, we put in the effort to get them because of that. To suddenly bring them back? that would be a big bait and switch on those of us who did it and cared that it was time sensitive.
YOU are not more important than me.
Was gonna post the Dirty Harry meme but I’d probably get a vacation even for the censored version
There’s lots of stuff on my bucket list to do, but if Blizz tells me this mount or this place will be off limits in the future oh well.
Think of all the inaccessible stuff that Cataclysm made impossible. I knew there was a pre Cata world. Never knew it until classic came out.
I enjoy seeing people in retail with vanilla pvp ranks in retail…even the rare Scarab Lord. Why should I need to have that? I can claim veteran of the 4th war. It will be much more unique in the next 10 years.
I dunno. Maybe the game is just too old and too big. Not necessarily saying WoW2, but it’s just reached a point where…per all the posts I read each day…that it’s hard for people to justify still playing.
Newer players expecting to be a part of this? Well, it’s like trying to sail on an old and really big ship with the crew consisting of 40 peg legged salty captains who want 40 different things and yearn for ye olde days.
It’s not 2004. We all have 0 to 17 years of experience.
The ONLY time, I feel like we’re together as a group and enjoying the game is on launch. After that… it’s Blizz didn’t listen… Blizz this is broken… Blizz stole my sweet roll and I want it back
Don’t care about the community as a whole being unified care about your friends
Funny i recommend it on a whim.
Pretty good combat and content.
Yes it does. Time exclusive things are fine, skill exclusive things are fine. The are souvenirs of your journey in the game. I understand that the “everyone gets a trophy” crowd does not understand this or has never been taught to deal with disappointment. But life is full of disappointment.
In fact, We need more limited time rewards not less; so new players can start gathering their own collection of unique items to share and show off.
Yes. Quite so. I’ve been playing the game incorrectly for 5 years. Only people I know are on this forum.
Friends can make any game fun. I enjoy my lone wanderer status though.
I am not obligated to raid. I can WQ my way into oblivion. I want to pvp, but not in Shadowlands.
Check out the community discords
It’s just like the forums, no obligations to be available and lots of people to talk to about all the various topics for wow If you just want to talk wow all day you can, I love it
Yes. I think the problem is that people are not in the habit of being congratulatory. Instead, highly jealous. They want what everyone else has.
Real life so true. Guess what…I didn’t serve in WW2. I cannot have a badge that says so.
I know WoW is a game, but it should emulate that concept.
I’m part of a few WoW discords. Just not very social as a person. WoW is my giant sandbox escape
This isn’t life, it’s a game.
People still need to try to get it, so it’s not a participation trophy.
When you get a better argument then we talk, 'till then try again.
That is the most asinine analogy I’ve seen yet.
This wow player base is ridiculous when they want to ‘‘show off’’ pixels to strangers who couldn’t give a toss and continue to think there is still some ‘participation trophy’ aspect.
There were lots of people who couldn’t even do lots of the challenges after out gearing it. Stop using real life comparisons to a game of all things.
that seems rude, op. i think new players are welcome in the game.
if you’re new, welcome!
Ridiculous? Well, having something unique and distinctive is a big selling point - and plenty of players do strive for it. You don’t care about - fair enough, you don’t have to join the rat race in trying to get one of these rare items. But if you’re expecting them to dispense with all distinctive items retroactively by putting them all on the open market, you better not hold your breath. If you think they should put them all on the open market then I’d say you do care about unique pixels just as much, if not more so, than people that have them.
Not looking to show off. Let exclusive stay exclusive. Can only speak for myself. Maybe you have a problem with a different poster
