New Player Experience Severely Damaged by Bugs – Please Review

I am a new player to World of Warcraft. From the very beginning of my experience, between level 1 and 10, I noticed that the minimap at the top right corner of the screen never appeared. I initially thought this was part of the game’s design, but it made my gameplay extremely difficult. I had no way to navigate properly, and the entire experience felt frustrating and inconvenient. Even after I reached Stormwind City, the minimap was still missing. Only after searching online and comparing with other players’ experiences did I realize that this was a bug. It caused me considerable confusion and dissatisfaction.

Despite this, I still trusted the quality of your game and assumed this was just a small glitch. I decided to subscribe for one month to continue playing. However, the problems did not stop there.

When I began the Dragonflight expansion, at around level 38 (still below level 40), the campaign quests suddenly disappeared. Again, I assumed this might be the intended game design, so I was left wandering without direction, unsure of what to do next. Then, the game gave me a quest related to the Trading Post, but the quest was located in a zone that I could not access at all. After researching again, I learned that the quest belonged to the War Within expansion, which I should not have access to at my level and progress.

At that point, I opened my map and found that it required level 68 to begin the War Within campaign, but strangely, it said I needed level 70 to continue the Dragonflight campaign. This was extremely confusing—Dragonflight is the earlier expansion, so why would it require a higher level to proceed than a later one? And since I was only level 40, what was I supposed to do during the long gap until level 68? There was no campaign quest guidance, no structured progression, and I was left wandering aimlessly without direction. This is clearly not a proper gameplay experience.

As a new player, I had no way to distinguish what was normal and what was a bug. Only after being stuck for a while and feeling something was wrong did I look online and discover that I was experiencing a serious technical issue. This kind of confusion and frustration broke my immersion and ruined my overall experience.

I have lost confidence in this game. I no longer know what kind of bugs I may encounter in the future that will waste my time and cause further distress. Therefore, I would like to request a refund.

Thank you for your response. However, I’ve tried the link you provided, and I am still getting the same error page (“Oops! It looks like something went wrong.”). The refund process cannot be completed on my end. Please advise on how to proceed or escalate this issue to the support team directly.

The trading post should also be in the capitol cities of Orgrimmar and Stormwind.

Certain elements of the UI can be edited after you exit the new character scenario, hit escape and there will be a edit UI button, you likely just need to add the minimap back.
