What I will say to start off on this issue, I think Mythic feels really good. Some of the dungeons are a little overtuned compared to others, but that is minor. What I wanted to post about was the deadspot of Mythics.
Its almost impossible to get a group in 8s and 9s. If you have a key that is an 8 or a 9, it is really really hard to fill the group in Group Finder.
I don’t know that they can change the crests without really changing a lot of things, but my suggestion / hope would be to increase the amount of Gold that drops from these dungeons. I am talking they could be dropping 8k gold per dungeon to help incentivize the keys to be run.
That’s some serious gold inflation into the economy. Which isn’t a good idea.
My suggestion would be to try Discords like WoW Made Easy or some others, where it’s much more relaxed and should be easier to get your groups filled.
I am in a community larger than Wow Made Easy and regularly help community members run 8/9s on my Tank. When I’m trying to run or gear up my DPS, unless i go through them, its impossible.
Well, group finder pugging is always difficult. And like playing Russian Roulette. So I feel it’s better to stick with communities and guilds, personally.
I do understand what you’re saying about group finder. I hear ya. But I don’t think there’s a fix to random pugging. There’s just ways around it.
Sadly +8 and +9 are just score keys like +11. +6 is fantastic for hero drops and runed crests. +7 is great for ppl getting started on gilded crests and +10 is ideal for the vault.
We got everything we want, and lo and behold, its created a cliff. People really don’t want to fail 10s, cause its so much harder to run 9s. This causes people wanting overgeared people in 10s, and makes the cliff larger.
