New multiboxing free realms for TBC

I wouldn’t say that, Classic being here is case in point. More like it will be “not likely” to use the exact wording Blizzard uses.

Not only do Multi-Boxers feel the need to ruin the game for other people by cheating the system and using multiple characters (nah its cheating, don’t care what you say), they also feel the need to camp the forums and defend their actions. Congrats on being miserable people with a superiority complex. If you NEED to play a 15 y/o video game by using 5+ characters, you should re-evaluate your life.

Multiboxers will hate this idea for two reason. Multiboxer free realms will be very popular and if blizzard takes notice they’ll make more of them. Multiboxers want to pretend they’re not hated by the majority of players and don’t want there to be evidence that the player base is against multiboxing.

Second they want to play on realms with single players. They’re paying extra to have that advantage and playing on a mostly multiboxer realm with mostly other multiboxers loses the advantage they’re paying for.

The multiboxer rejection of separate realms for multiboxers will show that most every rationalization of multiboxing and all the spin is just lies

I believe that you are confusing the meaning of the word “segregation”, players won’t be forced apart, it would simply give a new option of playing with a single character on this kind of realms or playing with many characters in a normal realm, but you would still have the option to decide on which realm to play, it’s not that you would be blocked from normal realms because you sometimes play on non-multibox realms or vice versa.

No I’m using it right. When you separate a portion of a population to a particular area to better control them, that’s case book segregation. Not allowing someone to play on a particular realm is the same thing.

No one is talking about controlling another person actions, or moving them to a certain area, as I’ve just explained this would be a new option, everyone would be free to play on this new hypothetical realms.

Except Multiboxers.

Not really, every few months someone like you will come along and make up some drastically overblown claim that there’s a massive problem that has to be solved while demonstrating a complete lack of understanding of multiboxxing.

Multiboxers can play if they control a character a time. Access won’t be restricted, it’s a ruleset change as in any other variation of a common game.

Dude, that’s textbook segregation, you are only allowed in if you are are a certain playstyle or group. If you think or play differently, the door shall remain closed and drink from another fountain. I really don’t wanna link examples, as I like my posting privileges.

There’s already “segregation.” There are pvp, pve, rp-pvp, and rp-pve servers. I don’t see why there shouldn’t be another or even a few more different types of servers if they’re likely to appeal to a sufficient number of the player base. I never play on pvp servers. I wouldn’t be playing the game if there weren’t pve servers. I have nothing against there being pvp servers even though I don’t play on them. Why would anyone care if there were multiboxer free servers. If you want to multibox or play with multiboxers there will still be many realms where you can do that.

I’m not saying this is or isn’t a problem, I understand multiboxing as I’ve done it myself for more than twelve years. But many other MMOs have been applying this concept of one character per person at a time kind of realm/server, and for many of them it has been successful. This isn’t a discussion about the morality or the advantages/disadvantage s of multiboxing but about a reality that there are some players that would prefer to play in a realm where this practice it’s prohibited.

And I’m saying blizzard isn’t going to make completely separate realms to address something done by a very small number of players that an equally small number players complain about.

Look at some of the special realm types they haven’t done, like CRBG free realms, if they passed on that there’s no chance of a MB free realm.

You seem to keep talking as if you could only play one way or another, but the option of multiboxing is and probably will always be allowed in the normal realms. The example you give is as if someone should be allowed to play paintball using an airsoft gun, you can always play with airsoft guns in a ruleset where they are allowed, as you can jump in and play with a paintball gun as everyone else on that place if you want to join that specific game, but it isn’t as if just by owning an airsoft gun you would be prohibited from playing paintball, you can still use your airsoft gun in all the airsoft fields.

you need to look up gated communities.

Again I must make clear that access won’t be restricted, it will be just a different rule set for a game.

Any change suggested has a low likelihood of happening. If that was a reason to stop asking for changes at least 80% of the topics on this forum would be gone. Yet we all persist is asking for those changes we favor. And how ever unlikely sometimes changes come. A month ago every one would have said there is zero chance that blizzard will limit the number of dungeons a character can run to 30 per day. Yet here we are today

I’m not comparing this to a random request though. I specifically compared this to another request for special rule realms that had far more support than this.

If CRBG free realms didn’t happen the odds of this are basically nothing.

Lol, no multiboxers weren’t a thing until TBC, and were popularized during WOTLK.

Less than .00000001% of original classic players ever multiboxed. Such a tiny % that it’s not even worth talking about them. They pretty much equal 0%.

You just don’t get it, do you? The agreement you have with blizzard is you are getting full access to their gaming servers for $15 no strings attached.
Now, if you want ‘special’ servers, this will require different agreement. You don’t really expect they will do it, do you?
