Roll a fresh toon on Ally side of BSB and tell me whats up… so many people below 10 questing around Goldshire you can barely get anything done… and that’s with layering…
I agree. And I understand very well. But what percent of ALL players use the addon NOW?
Is it 98%? Or is it 4%?
If it is 98% then the census is a good match for “all players”. If it is 4% then the census is a very very bad match for “all players”.
Until you tell me that number (4 or 98) I do not agree with your claim (in the headline and post 1) that the census website matches “all players”.
based on those stats 9% of players are 60… did you even read the stats? Pretty sure 9% is not majority
edit: 66-68% make up 25-59
“OH LOOK. BAR BIGGER THAN OTHER BARS.”
I think that summarizes OP’s understanding of the data.
I’m pretty sure that’s not how this works.
Blizzard removed add on access to /who to prevent doing exactly that.
This add on seems to be only tracking users with the add on installed.
i m not /cry
The addon can not track properly… not to say that your conclusion is faulty… just that the info your basing it on is wrong.
According to that website you linked, 9% of the total population is level 60. 119,337 level 60 toons, out of a total population of 1,283,601. I don’t know what server you’re on, but I see people level 20 to 60 every day.
This is the updated new version with a workaround, essentially it automates a series of consecutive filtered /who commands by triggering the /who commands on mouse clicks. So you start the census and just play the game and every time you click something in the background the addon does a /who until it’s done.
I’m using the addon and watching it work in real time on my social tab. It’s dead simple and accurate.
My realm isn’t even listed on there =(
On Ashkandi Horde, about half the server is 60s. Ever since they fixed the Census Mod, i run it multiple times a day to try to get as many people filtered into it. Yes, there are folks with multiple 60s as well, but those are far fewer right now and not the norm, compared to how itll be in another month or two when folks have gear up “enough” for their main to screw around on other characters.
You should download the addon and help build a more robust data set then!
While I am seeing more and more 60s as time passes… without a doubt, I see a LOT more people under max level in cities. That is the only “census” I need to go by.
With that said, there are plenty of 60s who are now leveling alts. Do we consider the player ONE entry… or each character an entry?
Also, without a doubt, enough time certainly has passed for even very casual players to reach 60 IF that’s what they chose to do… yet many people aren’t placing level 0 as their first goal and are leveling alts and professions. I know I am with this 54, a 41 hunter, a 21 paladin, and several low teens of various classes.
I am in no hurry to get to endgame…in fact… what I love most about Classic is the leveling and immersion of each character in it’s zone/city.
I have it, but it doesn’t work. It doesn’t auto scan like it used to, and manual scan shows no results. I double checked that it was updated through twitch app, and it says it’s up to date =/
Maybe he’s just retarded.
Garbage in, garbage out works for stats, too, right?
TIL that 9% > 50%.
