Been seeing a bit of media lately regarding a new LOTR RPG purported to have a massive open world.

There’s that one too, but like you said, it was cancelled by AGS last we heard. This other game I think the guy was talking about is an actual RPG that was “aiming to compete with Hogwarts”. Haven’t heard too much else about that either.
I will take any new lotr game that isn’t trash.
